  • Publication number: 20170338611
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an electrically conductive connection between a copper component 23, 23a and an aluminum component 24 by means of cold metal transfer welding, in which a welding wire is periodically moved back and forth from the material of a component to be welded.

  • Patent number: 7301121
Abstract: A method and device for laser drilling in which the geometric form of the drill-hole wall is influenced by reciprocal action between a laser beam and a supplied process gas, which thereby is ionized to plasma. Furthermore, the outlet opening of the drill hole is influenced by a suitable arrangement of a backing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2003
Date of Patent: November 27, 2007
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Gert Callies, Markus Willert, Kai Osswald
  • Patent number: 7294807
Abstract: A method and a device for producing holes in workpieces by using at least one laser beam, in particular a short-pulse or ultrashort-pulse laser beam, whereby a process gas is supplied to the point of contact of the laser beam with the workpiece. At least one parameter of the process gas, i.e., its composition, pressure, volume flow, for example, is selected and the process gas is supplied to the interaction zone between the laser beam and the workpiece in such a way that the hole produced by the laser beam has a desired quality (hole geometry, reduced ablation residues, or none at all, etc.).

  • Patent number: 7022941
Abstract: A device for introducing holes into a workpiece has a laser beam source for producing at least one laser beam which may be directed toward the workpiece. A nozzle system is provided having at least one nozzle which may have a gas under pressure applied to it, the gas flow exiting the nozzle being aligned in relation to the workpiece surface in such a way that molten particles detached from the workpiece are guided away from the hole produced by the laser beam.

  • Publication number: 20050006362
Abstract: A device (1) for introducing holes into a workpiece (3) has a laser beam source for producing at least one laser beam (9) which may be directed toward the workpiece (3). A nozzle system (13) is provided having at least one nozzle (15; 17; 19) which may have a gas under pressure applied to it, the gas flow (23; 25; 27) exiting the nozzle (15; 17; 19) being aligned in relation to the workpiece surface in such a way that molten particles detached from the workpiece (3) are guided away from the hole produced by the laser beam (9).

  • Publication number: 20040222196
Abstract: A device and a method for optimizing laser drilling and laser erosion. An electrode is situated opposite a workpiece to be processed. A current-voltage source is interconnected in such a way that an electric field is applied between the workpiece and the electrode, the workpiece being positively charged and the electrode being negatively charged. By acting upon a point of action on the workpiece, a laser beam causes the material erosion. Metal ions and/or plasma ions created in the proximity of the point of action are positively charged. They are accelerated in the direction of the electrode, so that they are removed from the point of action.
