Abstract: A multistage side-channel compressor including a plurality of housings for the individual compressor stages. Each of the housings consists of a pair of housing halves and are disposed axially one behind the other and are connected to each other. The improvement of the invention comprises the provision of a plurality of circumferential, radially outwardly extending cooling fins on the outer surface of each of the housing halves of the compressor disposed axially inwardly between the housing halves disposed axially outermost at the ends of the compressor.

Abstract: An improved side channel compressor wherein the compressor comprises first and second compressor stages each including first and second housing halves. In accordance with the invention, the inner housing halves (i.e., the second housing half of the first stage and the adjacently arranged first housing half of the second stage) are each provided with inlet and outlet openings of the same size and shape and with sealing rims surrounding these openings. In further accord with the invention, the second housing half of the first stage is provided with a further sealing rim arranged in the circumferential direction ahead of the outlet opening of that housing half and the first housing half with a further sealing rim arranged in the circumferential direction behind the inlet opening of that housing half.

Abstract: In a side channel compressor having a housing cover and a bearing arranged at the housing cover, the improvement wherein the compressor is further provided with a separate bearing cap which is fastened to the housing cover and within which is disposed the bearing and with a centering rim on the cover for aligning the cap.
