  • Patent number: 6965909
Abstract: A matrix calculator calculates multiplication of two matrices. The matrix calculator includes an element selecting portion for selecting elements from elements of the two matrices that would constitute sub-elements of each element of a multiplication result matrix and sequentially outputs the selected element, a calculating portion for adding products of output from the element selecting portion and sequentially outputs the elements of the result matrix, and a control signal generating portion for generating a control signal that controls a timing of operation of the calculating portion and the storing portion. Since the respective elements of the two matrices are sequentially selected to be multiplied and added, the elements of the multiplication result matrix, which are the sums of the sub-elements, can be calculated sequentially. Accordingly, since the matrix calculator can be constructed of one adder and one multiplier and a control circuit, the size of the circuit is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20040012724
Abstract: A video process device includes: a display device rotatable with respect to a center point of a screen; a first screen dividing portion for processing first and second video signals into a double window video signal; a second screen dividing portion for processing the double window video signal and an inputted third video signal into a triple window video signal; and a controller for controlling the second screen dividing portion in order to transform a vertical and horizontal synchronization signal of the first, second and third video signals to correspond to the screen of the display device rotated by 90° when the display device is rotated by 90°. Accordingly, by realizing the triple window in consideration of the aspect ratio of 16.9 of the display device, problems such as image quality deterioration and signal distortion can be solved. Also, the opportunity to watch various broadcasting can satisfy a user's needs.

  • Patent number: 5601118
Abstract: A compressor for compressing a refrigerant includes a discharge outlet, and a valve mechanism for controlling the opening and closing of the outlet. The valve mechanism comprises a reed normally biased to an outlet-closing position by a leaf spring which is yieldable under the pressure of compressed refrigerant applied to the reed to enable the reed to flex and open the outlet. A fixed valve stopper overlies the leaf spring for limiting the extent of travel of the leaf spring and reed when opening the outlet. The valve stopper includes a flat inner section spaced above the outlet by a uniform distance, and a convexly curved outer section extending from the flat section to a free end of the stopper. During a valve opening operation, an inner portion of the leaf spring collides with the flat section, but an outer free end of the leaf spring does not collide with the stopper, because of the curvature of the outer section of the stopper. Thus, potential damage to the outer end of the leaf spring is avoided.

  • Patent number: 5525045
Abstract: A compressor includes a reciprocating piston mounted in a cylinder for sucking-in refrigerant gas during a retraction stroke and then compressing and discharging the gas during a compression stroke. A front wall of the piston includes a through-hole, and carries a spring-biased closure for closing the through-hole. The closure can be opened counter to the spring force by the presence of an excessive pressure in front of the piston, in order to relieve that pressure. The closure projects forwardly beyond the piston front wall so as to also open the through-hole upon contacting an end plate of the cylinder during a compression stroke.
