    Abstract: An antenna subarray, an antenna array, and a polarization reconfiguration method and apparatus are provided. The antenna subarray includes m antenna elements. m is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The m antenna elements are placed at an interval of 360/m degrees in sequence. A distance between any two adjacent antenna elements is less than 0.5 times an operating wavelength. The distance between any two antenna elements is controlled within 0.5?, so that polarization reconfiguration may be implemented.

Each antenna unit includes a plurality of antenna branches and one feed branch. Different antenna branches in a same antenna unit correspond to different frequency bands. At least one antenna unit pair exists in the plurality of antenna units. A distance between two antenna units in each antenna unit pair is less than a first preset distance. Radiation directions of antenna branches in each antenna unit pair that correspond to a same frequency band are different. By means of the present invention, isolation between the antenna units in the antenna can be increased.

A folded conducting strip is formed upon multiple sides of a cube-shaped, or other three-dimensional substrate of small dimensions. The conducting strip exhibits resonance at multiple frequencies, such as at frequencies encompassing the 800/900/1800/1900/2200 MHz frequencies. Because of the positioning of the conducting strip upon the multiple sides of the substrate, a conducting strip of increase length is provided while permitting the dimensional requirements of the antenna structure to be small. Multiple antennas are able to be positioned at the radio device to provide for multiple-input, multiple-output radio operation.
