  • Patent number: 9827600
Abstract: A movable rack assembly for a washer having a generally rectangular frame. The frame includes a central hub connectable to a fluid source. A plurality of elongated tubular base members extends from the central hub and defines a bottom of the frame. A pair of spaced-apart elongated, tubular side members defines side portions of the frame and a space therebetween. Each of a plurality of spaced-apart transverse members has ends that are connected to one of the side members. The transverse members transverse the space defined between the side members. A rotary spray arm is attached to each of the transverse members. A plurality of corner spray nozzles on the frame directs fluid toward corners of the frame. The bottom members, the side members and the transverse members are fluidly connected with each other and fluidly connect the rotary spray arms and the corner spray nozzles with the central hub.

  • Patent number: 8176651
Abstract: A method of drying articles within a washer comprising: creating an airflow from an upper compartment of a chamber to a lower compartment of the chamber through a gap such that a curtain of air is formed along side walls of the chamber; creating an air flow from the lower compartment to the upper compartment through an opening therebetween wherein a portion of the curtain of air is drawn in a first direction over articles in the lower compartment and a portion of the curtain of air continues along the side walls and is redirected in a second direction over the articles in the lower compartment; heating the air in the upper compartment to a temperature sufficient to vaporize fluid in the chamber; venting a portion of the air in the lower compartment; and introducing clean filtered air into the upper compartment.

  • Patent number: 7938339
Abstract: The present invention provides a spray arm assembly comprised of a tubular member rotatable about a fixed axis. The tubular member has an internal passage and a central axis extending a length of the tubular member. A nozzle assembly is attachable to an end of the tubular member and fluidly communicates with the internal passage of the tubular member. The nozzle assembly is comprised of an insert attachable to the tubular member in a predetermined position. A nozzle body has an aperture therein defining a spray orifice. The nozzle body is mountable to the insert in one of a plurality of positions wherein the spray orifice has an orientation based upon a position of the nozzle body relative to the insert. A fastening means is provided for fastening the insert and the nozzle body together in one of the plurality of positions.

  • Patent number: 7841104
Abstract: The present invention provides a washer for washing articles. A housing of the washer defines a chamber. A partition divides the chamber into an upper compartment and a lower compartment. An outer peripheral edge of the partition generally conforms to side walls of the housing such that a gap is formed between the edge of the partition and the side walls of the housing. A blower assembly disposed in the upper compartment has a first air inlet, a second air inlet and an air outlet. The first air inlet fluidly communicates with the lower compartment. The second air inlet fluidly communicates with an external air inlet line. The air outlet fluidly communicates with the upper compartment. An impeller is provided to circulate air from the lower compartment and from the air inlet line into the upper compartment. A heating means heats the air in the upper compartment.

  • Publication number: 20090286030
Abstract: A pressure/flow regulator includes a device having an input end that is connectable to a source of fluid, and an output end that is fluidly connected to a medical instrument. The device has a passage running from the input end to the output end to carry the fluid therethrough. A polymeric sleeve is disposed on the device. The polymeric sleeve covers at least one aperture that communicates with the passage. The polymeric sleeve has a resiliency capable of retaining the fluid within the at least one aperture until a predetermined pressure of the fluid within the aperture is attained at which point the sleeve deforms releasing pressure of the fluid within the device and preventing pressure damage to the medical instrument.

  • Patent number: 6439248
Abstract: A high pressure pump (14) supplies cleaning fluid from a reservoir (12) to spray nozzles (20) inside a washing chamber (10). The spray nozzles (20) spray the cleaning fluid over a load to be cleaned. Used cleaning fluid is collected in a sump (30). A sump pump (32) drains the sump. The combination of the high pressure pump and sump pump provides more efficient cleaning of the load and eliminates the requirement for a deep sump beneath the washer. A vertical traveler (22), having a pair of counterbalanced spray arms (24), raises and lowers the spray nozzles counter cyclically; a detergent injection system (50) accurately meters a correct amount of detergent is added to the cleaning fluid; and a filtration device (34) filters suspended material from the used cleaning fluid and uses a portion of the cleaning fluid to clean itself.

  • Patent number: 5967160
Abstract: Retractable doors 22 to a washing chamber 20 of a washer 10 open automatically to allow a load to be processed to be wheeled into the chamber. The doors are fitted with blowout panels 42, 44. In an emergency, a worker trapped in the washing chamber can escape by pushing the blowout panels outward. A tilting floor assembly 70 includes a floor 76 supported on a frame 74 and a lifting mechanism 90 for selectively raising and lowering a side of the frame to tilt the floor. The floor is tilted automatically during a cleaning cycle to allow cleaning fluids to drain from the load, then leveled before opening of the doors for ease of removal of the load.

  • Patent number: 5964955
Abstract: An operating system (20) for a washer (1) is mounted on a moveable trolley (52). The trolley carries all of the failure prone elements such as pumps (24, 28, 40) solenoid valves 80, electrical heaters (48), an electrical control circuit (50) and the like. Quick-release couplings (58, 59,60 62), between the operating system and plumbing associated with a washing chamber (10), allow the operating system to be quickly disconnected from and reconnected with the chamber. The trolley is then wheeled a distance away from the chamber, providing ready access to all the operating equipment for maintenance and repair.
