Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for training and monitoring administration of an inhaler medication. The system includes a mobile computing device that is configured to provide an augmented reality training and monitoring aid for asthma patients. In particular, the mobile device is programmed to capture video using a camera and sound recordings using a microphone in order to measure the patient's head position from the video and measure events relating to inhalation and exhalation from the microphone recordings. This real-time data is used to provide real-time testing and monitoring of the patient's technique for using an inhaler and an augmented reality training aid that informs the patients training. In addition, the mobile device is configured to collect background information from the patient relating to the patient's control over his or her asthma and can also interface with a back-end computing system for storing and maintaining related information.

Abstract: A high torque vertical axis windmill that has blades with curved parts secured together. The second part of each blade is movable to deploy the maximum surface of the blade to the wind for maximum torque during a portion of the cycle of the blades. The second part of each blade is movable to a second position to deploy the minimum surface of the blade to the wind for minimum drag during another portion of the cycle of the blades.

Abstract: A waste organizing cabinet for recyclable materials. The upper working surface of the cabinet can be used to cut or otherwise treat food products. Below this upper surface is a first holding frame for a pull-out sliding drawer that rests on cabinet rails. Side meshed baskets placed within the holding frame form a series of separated compartments of the frame and placeable within each of the drawers. Each basket is used for separately receiving either: non recyclable waste food products, plastic materials, tin, glass, or paper products. Several different arrangements of the baskets within the drawer may be used to differently arrange the baskets within the framework of the drawer. As the frame and baskets are pulled out, spaced rails have stops to engage fixed frame rails to prevent further movement. Below this first drawer is a second slidable pull out drawer that may have several different holding frames compartments for the individual baskets.
