    Abstract: The present invention relates to a machine for the electrophoretic painting or varnishing of thin metal objects such as, for example, lids for food containers, comprising a tank for the electrophoretic bath, extending along a longitudinal axis, a conveyor line for the metal objects, immersed in the tank for the electrophoretic bath, an electrode immersed in the bath, and a system of electrodes of opposite polarity to the electrode immersed in the bath, characterized in that it comprises means for securing the metal objects, the securing means being able to keep the plane containing each metal object in a position substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the conveyor line for the lids.
