  • Publication number: 20060238042
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connection piece (4) for an encapsulated stator of an electrical motor. It comprises “n” individual pieces (4?) each with a cable exit (6) and “n?1” cuts (5) between said individual piece (4?), said individual pieces (4?) being joined together by back parts (7). Before the encapsulation process, the winding of the stator is connected to each of these exits (6), for example by a screw of other means. The entire piece (4) is then encapsulated with the stator so that the resin also fills the cuts (5). Then a machining step is used to eliminate the back parts (7) of the piece (4) joining the cable exits (6) to each other.

  • Patent number: 4879485
Abstract: It comprises a cylinder (2) forming the rotor body, extended on each side by the shaft (1), and eight curved permanent magnets (3A to 3H) disposed on the cylindrical surface of the rotor body (2). The magnets (3A to 3H) are secured by adhesive bonding to the rotor (2) and because of their shape leave between them, in the axial direction, V-shaped interstices (a to h). A thread (5) of carbon fibers passes in succession in each of the interstices (a to h) a plurality of times, applying compression forces to the inclined faces of the magnets (3A to 3H), which are thus firmly held against the rotor. The interstices are then filled with a resin to obtain a continuous cylindrical surface.

  • Patent number: 4837921
Abstract: A cylindrical winding is formed, of which the turns of the coils situated at the edges of the cylinder are bent back towards the outside, thus obtaining two external shoulders (2, 3). The winding is introduced into an appropriate mold, and a synthetic resin is injected; after cooling and removal from the mold, a rigid unit (11) is obtained. Around this unit (11) and between the two shoulders (2, 3) there is wound an iron wire (12) which forms the yoke of the stator. The unit thus obtained is then mounted in an aluminum frame by simple mechanical means.

  • Patent number: 4743813
Abstract: The commutation of the motor which has no commutator is by electronic commutation, the excitation being carried out by p pairs of permanent magnets (12) carried by the rotor (10). The powering of the winding (6,6') of the stator is controlled by an encoder (19, 20) synchronized with the rotor (10). The electronic commutation circuit includes an odd number of sensors detecting the angular position of the rotor (10). The number of connection terminals of the winding to which the supply voltage is selectively applied is equal to the number of sensors or to a multiple of this number and the number of switchings per complete revolution of the rotor is equal to the number of sensors multiplied by the number of pairs of poles (12). During each switching, the connection between one of the terminals of the voltage source and at least one of the connection terminals is maintained. The mode of commutation is automatically changed according to the requirements of the motor load.

  • Patent number: 4629948
Abstract: In this electric motor and tachometric generator unit the generator comprises a rotor secured to the motor shaft and provided with a set of permanent magnets, and a fixed armature incorporating an armature winding. The commutation of the generator and motor windings is controlled by a coder via an electronic commutation circuit. The generator rotor is disc-shaped and the magnetic axes of the permanent magnets are parallel to the shaft. The movable portion of the coder is the generator rotor cooperating with a set of fixed magnetic sensors, preferably of the Hall type, mounted on one side of the generator rotor, the fixed armature being mounted on the other side of this rotor.

  • Patent number: 4568862
Abstract: A d.c. motor has a disc-shaped rotor carrying permanent magnets having their magnetic axes parallel to the motor shaft and on both sides of the rotor fixed armatures, each armature comprising a rosette-shaped, flat lap armature winding in which the coils partially overlap each other, a slotless iron ring having a flat face to which the coils are fixed, and a connection ring divided into insulated segments receiving the ends of the coils adapted to be energized separately by means of an electronic commutation circuit controlled by a rotary encoder, the groups of segments to which the ends of the coils which are to be energized in parallel are connected, being interconnected by conducting wires extending along the ring. All the component elements of the armature are embedded in plastic material and constitute a compact assembly. If desired, the winding may be of the wave winding type.
