  • Publication number: 20120161554
Abstract: A cooling system for a high density power motor, in particular an axial-flux electric motor, wherein a pump is directly fitted in an axial position on the output shaft of the electric motor and feeds at outlet a flow of liquid coolant directed towards a first heat exchanger coupled to a power electronic supply circuit of said motor; the first heat exchanger having at least one outlet from which the liquid coolant is fed to a second heat exchanger coupled to the windings of the electric motor for cooling the electric motor itself; the cooling system carrying out in succession removal of the heat from the power electronic supply circuit and then from the electromagnetic part of the motor.

  • Patent number: 7402190
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for making formulated nitrogenous and complex fertilizers, in granule form, suitable for slowly releasing nitrogen, comprising the steps of preparing an aqueous urea/formaldehyde dispersion with a molar ratio from 0.8:1 to 2:1, adding an aqueous catalyzer solution in a weight ratio from 0.1 to 4%, controlling the pH of the aqueous dispersion to hold it within a range from 4.0 to 7.0, and supplying the aqueous dispersion to a recirculating granulating device, as a growth seed.

  • Patent number: 6837002
Abstract: A modular type tray (1) for hydroponic and aeroponic cultivation is described, in which the nutritive solution is carried to the roots of plants grown in the tray by a tube with built-in drips (2) situated in a slot (3) on the tray bottom. The tray consists of at least one plastic casing made by extrusion, a pair of closing flanges (5, 6) to be fixed to the opposite tray ends and (if necessary) at least one middle flange (7), placed between two plastic casings to join them together with a watertight seal.

  • Patent number: 6314675
Abstract: The air culture system (realized on fixed or movable trays (4) disposed inside one or more greenhouses (1)) comprises a management system comprising a central unit (3) and one or more peripheral logic units: at least one peripheral unit (2) is disposed inside each greenhouse (1). The central unit (3) allows to control and to manage the working of the system, by modifying the reference values of the parameters (greenhouse temperature, physical and chemical characteristics of the nutritive solution, etc) controlled by each peripheral unit (2) to grow the plants disposed on the trays (4) inside the greenhouse (1) managed by the peripheral unit (2), under conditions which should be as similar as possible to the ideal ones. Moreover, the central unit (3) gathers and processes for informative and statistic purposes the values of the above-mentioned parameters detected (and, if it's the case, previously processed) by the peripheral units (2).

  • Patent number: 4603246
Abstract: A hair dryer, designed to be used both professionally and domestically, has a generally cylindrical body with a nozzle for the discharge of a flow of hot air generated in its interior, this body having secured thereto a saddle-shaped base to which an inclined handle is attached under spring pressure with the aid of a bolt perpendicular to the body axis. The base and the handle adjoin each other along surfaces parallel to that axis for enabling the handle to be rotated through 180.degree. between two extreme positions in which the handle respectively slants toward the rear and the front of the body. The relative rotation is limited by a semicircular cutout in the handle penetrated by a pin rigid with the base.

  • Patent number: 4571862
Abstract: An electric steam iron has a sole plate, a housing carried on the sole plate and defining a substantially closed chamber adapted to hold a body of water, at least one electric heater for heating the water in the chamber to above 100.degree. C., and a valve at the chamber for maintaining the chamber under superatmospheric pressure. Thus superheated steam is produced therein by the heater. A conduit extending between the chamber and the sole plate conducts this superheated steam to the sole plate. The water chamber is above the sole plate and the housing forms another chamber constituting part of the conduit and in turn above the water chamber. The valve is between the chambers and only permits fluid flow into the upper chamber from the water chamber when the pressure in the water chamber is above a predetermined superatmospheric level.
