Abstract: A chair comprises a base structure, a seat mounted on the base structure for pivoting about a transverse axis, travel limiting means which define the position of maximum rearward pivoting and the position of maximum forward pivoting of the seat, and resilient means which bias the seat towards its position of maximum rearward pivoting. The travel limiting means enable at least one of the end-of-travel positions to be adjusted.

Abstract: A pivoting support for chairs, seats and the like comprises a main support member which is connected to the base structure of the chair and a seat support member which is pivotably connected to the main support member with the interposition of an auxiliary support member. The latter is articulated to the main support member about a first horizontal axis and to the seat support member about a second horizontal axis parallel to and in front of the first horizontal axis. First resilient means are interposed between the main support member and the seat support member for biassing the seat support member towards a position in which it is rotated upwardly relative to the auxiliary support element. Second resilient means are also interposed between the main support member and the auxiliary support member for biassing the auxiliary support member towards a position in which it is rotated upwardly relative to the main support member.

Abstract: A table comprises a table-top and a plurality of legs fixed to the table-top by means of a plurality of joints which are also used for supporting and interconnecting a series of horizontal cross members extending beneath the table-top. Each joint comprises a base element fixed to the lower surface of the table-top and having a seat in which the upper end of the respective leg is received and clamped by means of a wedge, and a cover fixed to the base element. The facing surfaces of the base element and the cover have recesses which cooperate with each other to define one or more seats in which the corresponding parts of the horizontal cross members are received and clamped.

Abstract: The chair is provided with a seat connected to a support structure of the chair by means of one or more hinged parallelograms consisting of pairs of tie-rods hinged to the seat and to the support structure. The structure of the chair backrest is integral with at least one of the tie-rods so as to allow the seat to be raised when the backrest is pushed backwards. Provision is also made for elastic means which are designed to counteract the backwards movement of the backrest.

Abstract: An extensible table comprises a rigid panel defining the working plane of the table in a condition of minimum extension thereof and at least one structure for extending the panel including a frame connected to the panels so as to be slidable in a direction parallel to the plane of the panel and movable between an extreme retracted position within the panel and an extreme extended position in which the frame projects from one side of the panel.

Abstract: A ladder comprises a pair of main stiles, a series of centrally-hinged rungs with ends articulated to the two main stiles, whereby the ladder can adopt a folded inoperative configuration in which the main stiles are alongside each other and an extended operative configuration in which the main stiles are spaced from each other, and means for stopping the ladder in the extended operative configuration. The main stiles are articulated together at their upper ends and the ladder further includes a single auxiliary stile articulated at its upper end to the two upper ends of the main stiles about an axis substantially perpendicular to the articulation axis of the two main stiles. The auxiliary stile is movable between a position alongside the two main stiles, corresponding to the folded inoperative condition of the ladder, and a position spaced from the main stiles, corresponding to the extended operative condition of the ladder.

Abstract: A chair seat mounting device comprises a platelike support bracket that can be fastened to a chair base and a mounting plate that can be fastened to the underside of the chair seat. The plate automatically tilts forward on an axle on the bracket when the person sitting in the chair leans forward and his or her weight overcomes a spring mechanism that yieldably restrains the seat in the normal, upright position.
