Abstract: The apparatus for preventing and healing bedsores in long-term inpatients comprises a bed which is supported by four elements arranged in pairs at the longitudinal sides of the bed. Each element is constituted by a tubular upright fixed to the bed frame, inside which a column is telescopingly accommodated. A roller is rotatably supported at the top of both columns arranged on each longitudinal side of the bed. A piece of fabric closed in a loop is wound around the two rollers. The fabric is moved with respect to the bed by lifting and lowering the columns, whereas the fabric can be caused to slide transversely with respect to the bed by actuating the rollers. Therefore, the patient is first lifted off the bed on which he is laying and is then turned in the required position by virtue of the lifting and sliding motion of the fabric.

Abstract: The device for extracting dental crowns has two levers, each having a handgrip and a jaw. The levers are pivotally connected so that the jaws are moved apart by moving the handgrips closer together. A body is articulated to one of the jaws and guided in a seat of the other jaw, and supports two opposite hook-like elements which oscillate in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the levers. The other jaw has abutments adapted to rest on teeth adjacent the crown to be extracted. In the position of mutual approach of the jaws, the hook-like elements engage the edges of the crown so that by acting on the levers a force is exerted for the extraction of the crown against the resting reaction of the abutments on the adjacent teeth.

Abstract: The apparatus is designed for the installation of front and rear crossed prosthetic ligaments in the articulation of the knee, and includes a stem which extends, at one end, with an arc-like tapered portion the end whereof is adapted to be inserted through the surgical opening at the knee, to pass between the tibial plate and the condyloid cavity and to be positioned in the exact outlet position of the bore to be provided, a small block having at least one hole for a screw for fastening to the bone and a seat for coupling to a spherical joint, an arm which ends at one end with the spherical joint coupled to the seat, bears at the other end a clamp with a groove and countergroove for its longitudinal sliding and locking along the stem and has coupling elements for interchangeable bushes for guiding the drilling tool.
