  • Patent number: 7111737
Abstract: A method and work station (SV) for checking the integrity of packages (2), in particular single-dose packages uses a first pressing device (4) for applying a reference force to one or a group of packages (2) for a predetermined time interval (Dt). The value of the force transmitted by the package (2) is detected using one or more load cells (6) positioned opposite to the first pressing device (4) with respect to the package (2). The load cells detect the force transmitted through the package. Packages are rejected when the value of the force transmitted by the package (2) is lower than a critical force value (f*) which is a value of the force transmitted to the load cells by a good package.

  • Patent number: 6627826
Abstract: An operative unit (1) advances containers (2) along a conveying line (3) and transfers the containers from the conveying line to one weighing station (4) and vice-versa. An endless conveyor (6) of the operative unit passes through the weighing station (4) and a sliding track (S), on which the containers (2) move, is disposed parallel to the conveyor (6). Moving modules (70) are removably fastened to the conveyor and move the containers (2) on the sliding track (S) A platform (8) forms a portion of the sliding track (S) and is situated in correspondence to the weighing station (4). The containers (2) supported by the platform (8) are temporarily disengaged from the moving means (70) and placed in the weighing station (4).

  • Patent number: 6267221
Abstract: A conveyor includes a support element (4), that defines a running surface (5), and an endless dragging belt (9,10). The belt (9,10) has seats (3) made, with inwards decreasing section, along one longitudinal edge located over a corresponding section of the surface (5). Containers (1) to be moved rest on the surface (5) and are kept in engagement with the belt (9,10) and in the seats by a lateral striker (7). The belt can be made of synthetic material with cogs (11), or of metallic material with smooth surfaces. The lateral striker (7) is a bar parallel to the straight active run (8) of the belt (9,10), and is moved in relation to the containers (1) size. The support and running surface (5) has indentations in one or more points (4), where there are plates (13) for moving the containers clear of the belt so as to allow additional operations on the containers.

  • Patent number: 5581975
Abstract: All the carousels of the machine are provided with grippers for holding the flasks. A carousel with grippers (6) for holding the flask by the neck is followed by a carousel with grippers (7) for holding the flask by the body and so on. Between the jaws of each gripper there is provided in the middle region a vertical opposition element (35) fixed onto a horizontal slide (36) supported by the gripper body (33) and connected to a mechanism which modify the position of the said opposition element according to the diameter of the flasks. The opposition element is directed towards the flask with a concave-profile front face. The orbits (29, 30) along which the grippers of two consecutive carousels travel intersect each other in the zone where the flasks pass from one carousel to the other. In this zone the flask is immediately held between the opposition elements of the opposite grippers of the carousels, which open and close alternately.

  • Patent number: 5207049
Abstract: A device seals an open end of monodose containers, which have already been filled with liquid or viscous solutions without need to trim the sealed ends, comprising grippers with jaws approximately shaped like a comb. In a first version, the jaws have square prongs counter opposed when the gripper is closed and a comb-shaped head inserted between the prongs of the jaws prevents formation of irregular edges at the ends which would otherwise require trimming. In a second version, one of the jaws has prongs which insert into corresponding recesses in the other jaw, while a flat-faced head closes the prongs of the gripper to prevent formation of irregular upper edges.

  • Patent number: 5156193
Abstract: The method provides for weighing, in a first weighing station the tare of a container, filling, in a supply station, such container with products, particularly liquid and/or gelatinous, or corrosive, or sticky products, or abrasive suspensions, etc., again weighing, in a second weighing station, the filled container, processing data coming from said weighing stations and data concerning the pressure and temperature of the products supplied, in order to determine a time of supply required for filling a subsequent container with a rated net weight of products within predetermined tolerances.
