  • Publication number: 20150368192
Abstract: A method of synthesizing (Boc)2-creatine derivatives of formula (III) which comprises a first step in which a sarcosine ester is reacted with a guanylating agent comprising two nitrogen atoms each protected with a t-butoxycarbonyl (t-Boc) group to form a (Boc)2-creatine ester, and a second step in which the (Boc)2-creatine ester is subjected basic hydrolysis to form (Boc)2-creatine of formula (III) is described. The (Boc)2-creatine so obtained can be used in methods of synthesizing creatine and phosphocreatine derivatives in which the free carboxyl group of the creatine is conjugated with a desired molecule.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 8932991
Abstract: A nanoarray or microarray of antibodies includes a planar surface having an ultraflat surface, which has a planar substrate functionalized with a first monolayer of linking molecules, preferably APTES molecules, and a second monolayer of small peptides of the general formula (I) capable of binding the Fc region of antibodies. The nanoarray or microarray includes capture antibodies immobilized on the planar support, preferably in the form of a matrix of spots, and is suitable to be used for detecting antigens in a biological sample by AFM imaging. Z—HN—R1—R2—R3—R4—R5—R6—NH—X—CO-G-COOH.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 4, 2011
Date of Patent: January 13, 2015
Assignee: Universita' Degli Studi de Genova
Inventors: Francesca Ferrera, Vincenzo Ierardi, Gilberto Filaci, Enrico Millo, Gianluca Damonte, Francesco Indiveri, Ugo Valbusa

  • Patent number: 7868163
Abstract: The invention relates to novel adenyl dinucleotides which are isomers of the dinucleotide Ap2A, having formulae (I) and (II). The dinucleotides of the invention have antitumour activity, particularly against tumours of haematological origin, such as for example leukaemias and lymphomas. The invention further relates to the use of such dinucleotides as antitumour medicaments. Finally, the invention relates to an enzymatic method for preparing the dinucleotides of formulae (I) and (II) and to an enzymatic assay method for the dinucleotide of formula (I) which is based on its complete conversion to NAD+.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 28, 2006
Date of Patent: January 11, 2011
Assignees: Universita' Degli Studi Di Genova, Centro Biotecnologie Avanzate

  • Publication number: 20070026506
Abstract: Method for the production of taxol and/or taxanes, comprising the steps of: a) inducing the formation of callus from a plant tissue explant, through in vitro culturing in a suitable nutritient medium, b) cultivating the callus in a liquid medium to obtain a cell suspension culture capable of producing taxol and/or taxanes, c) recovering the taxol and/or the taxanes from the cells and/or from the culture medium of the cell suspension obtained from the callus in which the tissue explant is obtained from a plant of the genus Corylus, in particular Corylus avellana.
