  • Publication number: 20190259489
Abstract: A system for supporting a user in the selection of food includes a processing module that determines a diet pattern of the user. The diet pattern includes nutritional information related to a number of macronutrients or micronutrients or bioactive compounds into which food may be decomposed and corresponding values of daily intakes. The diet pattern includes a number of food rules, each food rule including at least one food category and, for each food category, a respective frequency of intake and a respective reference quantity of intake. The system receives from the user information indicating a target food, and computes a compliance score of the target food with the diet pattern and notifying the user of the compliance score.

  • Patent number: 8700092
Abstract: A method is provided which allows a service to be enjoyed through a mobile telephone terminal without the need of paying for this service. This can be achieved by allowing a first subscriber to use the credit or subscription of a second subscriber. The subscriber identification cards at least of the two subscribers involved are provided with short range radio communication transceivers and establish a short range communication channel between them so that one card may request the other card to pay for this service and the other card may grant this request through this channel. Then the mobile telephone networks of the cards are informed of the granted request. Before, during and after the grant of the request, the subscriber identification cards remain active and operative in communicating together and with the associated terminals.

  • Patent number: 8442236
Abstract: A server communicates a set of entitlement data representative of the entitlement of a client to access corresponding contents data by using a set of keys and a non-invertible cryptographic function. The cryptographic function is applied to a set of candidate bit strings using the set of keys to find a selected bit string that produces the set of entitlement data as a result of the application of the non-invertible cryptographic function by using the keys in the set. The server and the client share the cryptographic function as well as the set of keys (or the selected bit string). The server transmits to the client the selected bit string (or the set of keys). In either case, the client is thus in a position to apply the cryptographic function to the selected string of bits by using the set of keys, thereby reconstructing the set of entitlement data.

  • Patent number: 7680275
Abstract: The services delivered by a plurality of providers (SP) towards the users (U) are identified by respective streams of encoded data, for instance MPEG data. The users (U) are provided with respective receiving means (STB) of a generalised type, common to all users. Each user is provided with a user unit (105), preferably embodied in the form of a smart card, incorporating a processing function (VM) able to recognize, load and execute at least one enabling algorithm embedded in the data streams sent by the providers, by exploiting a respective identifying code, also embedded in the delivered data stream, to enable to receiving means, through the user unit (105), to make use of the respective service.

  • Publication number: 20050021805
Abstract: A system for accomplishing the transmission of a multimedia stream between at least a transmitter (3) and at least a receiver (5). The multimedia stream comprises an audio/video stream with at least an information stream associated thereto. To at least some of the objects included in the multimedia stream is associated a respective description and space-type characterisation, so that each receiver (5) is able to interact with the aforesaid objects changing their space-time position relative to the other stream independently from the transmitter (3) and from the other receivers. Preferential application to remote teaching techniques.
