Abstract: An automatic plant for producing tyres includes a plurality of work stations and a plurality of devices for transferring the tyres from one work station to another work station and for moving the tyres within a same work station. Each work station is designed to assemble one or more corresponding structural components of the tyres. At least one of the structural components is supplied from a machine for producing the at least one structural component, through a dynamic storage unit, and to at least one of the work stations. A method for producing tyres includes making at least one structural component of the tyres, supplying the at least one structural component to a toroidal support, assembling the at least one structural component on the toroidal support, transferring the tyres from one work station to another, moving the tyres within a same work station, and vulcanizing the tyres.
