  • Patent number: 5775905
Abstract: The cup to be used as a paste carrier for dental hygienic consists of a rubber elastic material and can be driven for rotation by a hand piece. The cup comprises a paste receiving part, the inner side enlarging towards its open edge as well as the outer side of the cup enlarging towards its open edge comprising spiraled ribs which are running in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the hand piece. The structure on the inner side of the paste receiving part allows a continuous supply of paste and a cooling of the cup, and the structure of the outer side of the cup prevents a bale formation of the mucous and guarantees an effective cooling of the cup.

  • Patent number: 5743738
Abstract: The interdental wedge for the use during the insertion of approximal fillings of light curing synthetic material comprises the combination of a sole portion having disposed thereon an insert of a light conducting synthetic material and a light conducting element, such as a light reflector, to conduct the light necessary for curing and coming from the front surface of the wedge on the filling. The sole portion consists of a material which is compressible and requires strongly increasing forces for further compression; thus, the wedge can snugly fit to the approximal contour of the tooth to be treated and exert sufficiently high separation forces. Preferably, the material of the sole portion is wood whose fibers are preferably aligned in lengthwise direction of the wedge, and/or a synthetic material having included therein compressible filler particles. Thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers are preferred synthetic materials.

  • Patent number: 5597553
Abstract: The toothpaste proposed contains as an abrasive, preferably as the sold abrasive, expanded perlite, generally with a particle size in the range of 1 to 150 .mu.m, in particular with a main fraction in the region of 20 .mu.m. This gives enhanced cleaning power, and improved protection of the tooth enamel against wear and scratching.

  • Patent number: 5290170
Abstract: The ablator is made with synthetic resins reinforced so as to resist the mechanical stresses of flexion and abrasion. The resins are reinforced with metallic or non-metallic fibers totally incorporated in them, and are reinforced against wear due to abrasion by a modification in their surface molecular structure by means of a process of ionic implantation or similar procedures. Preferably, the synthetic resins used belong to the group of polyarylamides which exhibit better characteristics of mechanical resistance and of the duration of the sharpened edge of the ablator.

  • Patent number: 5266304
Abstract: The dental care and cleaning composition is a water-free paste containing at least 40% by weight of perlite as a sole and combined cleaning and polishing body, a stabilizer for the perlite in the sense of a controlled particle disintegration during use, a wettening agent for the perlite and at least 40% by weight of propylene glycolThe use for the cleaning of teeth yields successively a cleaning and a polishing effect.
