  • Publication number: 20230364019
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for the production of cell-membrane derived nanoparticles, comprising the steps of extracting the cell membranes from cells of two or more different cell lines and fusing them by means of high-pressure homogenisation in the presence of a disperse therapeutic or diagnostic ingredient. Another object of the present invention are cell-membrane derived nanoparticles enclosing a therapeutic or diagnostic ingredient; these nanoparticles are obtainable by the method of the invention and can be employed as drug delivery systems for medical or diagnostic use.

  • Publication number: 20220290087
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for in vitro three-dimensional cell co-culture, wherein said method comprises a step of seeding a plurality of cells of a first cell type on a first magnetic prismatic porous scaffold and a plurality of cells of a second cell type on a second magnetic prismatic porous scaffold, while keeping the first and second scaffolds physically separate, and a step of moving the first and second scaffolds towards each other under the action of a magnetic field generated by a magnetic field generator until contact occurs on at least one surface.

  • Publication number: 20120121712
Abstract: Piezoelectric nanotransducers for use in an in vivo treatment of cell stimulation through electrical stimulation are described. The nanotransducers are localized in a target site, and an electrical stimulus is induced in the same site through external stimulation of the nanotransducers by ultrasonic waves.

  • Patent number: 8058043
Abstract: A non-invasive method for the electroporation of cells contained in a substrate wherein the cells are placed in contact with carbon nanotubes and then said substrate is subjected to the action of two orthogonal pulsed electric fields generated by means of two pairs of electrodes in contact with said substrate according to a specific time sequence in such a way that, when a pair of electrodes is active, the other pair of electrodes is deactivated and vice versa. A device for performing electroporation according to this method.
    Type: Grant
