  • Publication number: 20170151426
Abstract: A cap for medical fluid lines and the like includes a hollow body within which a male or female connector accessible at one end of the body is coaxially housed. The connector is configured to inviolably obstruct the passage through the body. A unidirectional coupling locks in rotation the connector with respect to the body in the direction corresponding to the screwing of the connector, and a complementary connector, and to enable free rotation of the connector in the opposite direction. The connector can be possibly locked in rotation with respect to the body in the unscrewing direction, only following a positive command.

  • Publication number: 20170120031
Abstract: A tubular fitting for medical fluid lines includes a hollow body within which a male connector and an opposite female connector are coaxially housed. The male connector is coupled in rotation with respect to the body in a direction corresponding to a screwing with a female connector of the line, while it is normally freely rotatable in the unscrewing direction, in the same way as the female connector is coupled in rotation with respect to the body in the direction corresponding to the screwing with a male connector of the line, while it is normally freely rotatable in the unscrewing direction. The male connector and/or the female connector can possibly be locked in rotation with respect to the body in the unscrewing direction, only following a positive command.

  • Patent number: 9586037
Abstract: A valved male luer connector includes a resilient hollow element enclosing a tubular member having an inlet portion and an outlet portion. A collar is axially displaceable to cause a stretching deformation of the resilient hollow element so as to open a cut of a terminal wall thereof adjacent to an initial end of the inlet portion of the tubular member. The collar has a containment axial appendage of the resilient hollow element up to close to the terminal wall thereof. A stop means for limiting the stretching deformation of the resilient hollow element is provided for in the zone close to the terminal wall thereof.

  • Patent number: 9585999
Abstract: A flow system for medical lines includes a flow component having a main duct and at least one lateral tubular fitting with a female luer cone communicating with the main duct) through a valve. The valve includes a transverse diaphragm normally kept in fluid-tight contact against an annular valve seat of the lateral tubular fitting, which can be moved away from this into an opening position following upon insertion of a male luer-cone introducer of fluid into the lateral tubular fitting. The diaphragm is prearranged for being pushed into the opening position directly by the introducer, and the lateral tubular fitting is configured to couple in a fluid-tight way with the introducer before the latter comes into contact of thrust with the diaphragm.

  • Publication number: 20170000998
Abstract: A valved male luer connector includes an elastic hollow element which encloses a tubular member having an inlet portion and an outlet portion. A collar is axially displaceable causing a stretching deformation of the elastic hollow element and opening the flow passage between the inlet portion and the outlet portion of the tubular member. A priming cap is designed to be releasably connected to the casing of the valved connector to provide stretching deformation of the elastic element and keep the outlet portion of the tubular member in communication with the atmosphere through a liquid-impermeable barrier.

  • Patent number: 9345871
Abstract: An injection site for tubular medical connectors, includes a perforable body inserted in a seat of a connector delimited by an annular wall having a retention edge turned in against the outer end of the perforable body. The outer end is formed with a peripheral annular step and with an exposed portion with reduced cross section projecting axially. The peripheral step is defined by an annular groove having a shape complementary to that of the turned-in retention edge of the connector, and the portion with reduced cross section of the perforable body connects up to the groove through an annular surface projecting radially above at least part of the turned-in retention edge and resting against it.

  • Publication number: 20160101020
Abstract: A vial access device, includes a body having a projecting annular skirt that is elastically deformable, for engaging a complementary shaped neck of a vial. A tubular spike extends coaxially within the annular skirt for introducing into the vial, and a tubular connector protrudes from the body on the side opposite to the annular skirt and in fluid communication with the tubular spike. The tubular spike and the annular skirt are arranged, respectively, within a first and a second part, distinct from each other, and of which the first part is permanently joined to the body and the second part is connectable to the first part through an irreversible coupling.
