The system includes a pump that using an infusion algorithm, induces a flow of solvent through solute housed in the brewing chamber to generate an infused solution, a scale operably configured to measure a weight of the dispensed infused solution, and an electronic controller. The controller is communicatively coupled to the pump, scale and infusion pressure sensor and configured to induce a flow of solvent with the pump until reaching a brew chamber fill pressure. The infusion algorithm dynamically generates a plurality of flow rates within the brewing cycle. The infusion algorithm generating a solvent flow rate change that is a function of the infusion pressure and the dispensed infused solution mass.
