Patent number: 10845043Abstract: A system comprising track-mounted luminaires and track. In some embodiments, electrical power for illumination is accessed by a luminaire through electrified railing recessed within a relatively narrow slot of the track. In some embodiments, a mount is provided separately from and/or additional to the power slot; for example, a magnetic mount. Optionally luminaires are orientable to select a direction of illumination, while secured by the magnetic mount. The track is optionally mounted flush and/or recessed with a mounting surface such as a ceiling and/or wall. In some embodiments, a recessed surface of the track is formed with an arc. Optionally luminaires conform with the curvature of the arc. Additionally or alternatively, the track is at least partially masked and/or decorated, for example by plastering and/or a face plate.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2018Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Assignee: Chocolate Lighting Company LtdInventor: Gideon Tuchler

Patent number: 10627083Abstract: A modular system comprising track-mounted fixtures and track is described. In some embodiments, fixtures access electrical power through electrified railings recessed within a relatively narrow power slot of the track. Primary mechanical support of the fixture weight is optionally provided from a magnetic mounting surface surrounding the power slot. The track cross-section optionally provides mounting surface area on mounting wings, allowing a narrower slot housing. Optionally, secondary mechanical support provided within the slot comprises a deployable anchoring element which laterally expands into a receiving area. Optionally, deployment comprises rotation of the anchoring element. The anchoring element, in some embodiments, acts as a secondary mechanical support, preventing, for example, accidental detachment of the fixture from the slot, without preventing repositioning movements of the fixture along the slot, even when fully deployed.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2016Date of Patent: April 21, 2020Assignees: Chocolate Lighting Company Ltd, H4X e.U.Inventors: Gideon Tuchler, Andreas Hierzer
