  • Publication number: 20080047805
Abstract: A conveying system comprising an endless first conveyor belt circulating between at least first and second divert elements, a top run of the first conveyor belt forming a first conveying surface movable between the divert elements in a first conveying direction, and an endless second conveyor belt circulating between at least third and fourth divert elements, the top run of the second conveyor belt forming a movable second conveying surface movable between the divert elements in a second conveying direction, the second conveyor belt extending at least partly above and along the second divert element, so that the first and second conveyor belts, while including a gap-shaped interspace, are in mutually transverse alignment. In the interspace, intermediate elements, in particular fingers, are arranged that bridge the gap between the first and the second conveying surface.

  • Publication number: 20070119692
Abstract: A conveyor belt (1), comprising a number of plastic modules (3) successive in conveying direction (2) which are each provided at a front and rear side (4, 7) with a row of projections (5, 8) extending transversely to the conveying direction (2), provided with hinge holes with recesses (6, 9) located therebetween, the projections (5, 8) cooperating with recesses (6, 9) of adjoining modules, while hinge loops of successive modules (3) are coupled with the aid of hinge pins, extending through the hinge holes, transversely to the transport direction (2), the hinge pins being included with clearance in oversize hinge holes of projections (5, 8) at the front and/or the rear side (4, 7). At least two successive modules (3) are interconnected via an intermediate element (12) borne on a hinge pin (11A) and bearing mounted so as to be pivotal relative to a pivot (A) substantially transverse to the hinge pin (11A) in a bearing opening formed in one of the modules (3).

  • Publication number: 20060254882
Abstract: A conveying system (1), comprising an endless first conveyor belt (3) circulating between at least first and second (2B) divert elements, a top run (4A) of the first conveyor belt (3) forming a first conveying surface (5) movable between the divert elements in a first conveying direction (P1), and an endless second conveyor belt (7) circulating between at least third and fourth divert elements, the top run (8A) of the second conveyor belt (7) forming a movable second conveying surface (9) movable between the divert elements in a second conveying direction (P2), the second conveyor belt (7) extending at least partly above and along the second divert element (2B), so that the first (3) and second (7) conveyor belts, while including a gap-shaped interspace (10), are in mutually transverse alignment. In the interspace (10), intermediate elements (T), in particular fingers, are arranged that bridge the gap between the first (5) and the second (9) conveying surface.

  • Publication number: 20060249358
Abstract: A method of assembling a hinge conveyor chain includes providing adjacent conveyor links formed from a ferritic-pearlitic stainless steel, wherein the adjacent links have interdigitating link ends with openings for receiving a pin, and inserting a pin having a radially outwardly facing surface formed from a steel alloy with more than 0.6 wt. % of carbon and more than 12 wt. % of Cr through the openings of the interdigitating link ends to pivotally link the adjacent links.

  • Publication number: 20060201790
Abstract: A guide bend segment (30) for a modular conveyor chain, comprising a profile from plastic material with a substantially flat upper side (31) extending along an axis proceeding in a curved manner with a guide face in which at least one guide is formed for guiding the modules of a modular conveyor chain, in which profile, adjacent the guide, magnets (37A, 37B) are included for pulling body parts of successive modules (1) of the chain to be guided against the upper side through cooperation with hinge pins (25) of the modular conveyor chain, wherein the at least one guide comprises two grooves (32A, 32B) proceeding in the longitudinal direction of the profile, so that the profile, adjacent the guide plane at the location of the guide has a substantially E-shaped cross section with a central projection (33) located between the grooves and legs located outside the grooves, on an inside bend side and an outside bend side of the projection, respectively, and that in the legs (38A, 39B), magnets are included.
