  • Publication number: 20230132889
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes a computing system collecting first sensor data, of a particular geographic location, from a first type of sensor. The computing system may process the first sensor data to identify one or more first objects at the particular geographic location. The computing system may access an existing high-definition (HD) map associated with the particular geographic location. The existing HD map includes one or more second objects and is generating using second sensor data collected with a second type of sensor. The computing system may determine whether the one or more first objects are included in the existing HD map. In response to determining that the one or more first objects are not included in the existing HD map, the computing system may update the existing HD map to generate an updated HD map that includes the first objects and the second objects.

  • Patent number: 11573329
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing global positioning system (GPS) data indicating a raw location associated with the computing system; accessing, based on the raw location, environmental model data including one or more structures; generating GPS correction data by processing the GPS data and the environmental model data using a machine-learning (ML) model that has been trained to compensate inaccurate GPS readings due to environmental interference; and determining an accurate location by correcting the raw location using the GPS correction data.

  • Patent number: 11537868
Abstract: A method includes a computing system accessing a training sample that includes first sensor data obtained using a first sensor at a first geographic location, and first metadata comprising information relating to the first sensor. The system may train a machine-learning model by generating first map data by processing the training sample using the model and updating the model based on the generated first map data and target map data associated with the first geographic location. The system may then access second sensor data and second metadata, where the second sensor data is obtained using a second sensor. The system may generate second map data associated with a second geographic location by processing the second sensor data and the second metadata using the trained model. A high-definition map may be generated using the second map data.

  • Publication number: 20220192516
Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure discuss an apparatus comprising a transceiver configured to generate and/or receive radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic signals, one or more antennae configured to radiate the generated RF electromagnetic signals toward a surface and to output signals corresponding to received reflections of the RF electromagnetic signals, and a processing circuitry configured to process the received reflections and/or the output signals so as to determine change in position of the apparatus with respect to the surface. The apparatus may be incorporated into a wearable garment and/or an adhesive patch, and it may be attached to an outer surface of a human or an animal body.

  • Patent number: 11259715
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, devices and systems for measuring vital signs in human and animals by interrogating electromagnetic signals reflected from tissues in a human or animal subject. Probes may transmit radio frequency electromagnetic waves into a living body and generate signals responsively to the waves that are scattered from within the body. Such embodiments may be suitable for wearable devices as well as for use by medical practitioners.

  • Publication number: 20190197430
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a computing system may, in response to a ride request, match a ride requestor with a vehicle. The system may receive data associated with sensory output from sensors associated with the vehicle. The sensory output may be associated with at least the ride requestor while the requestor is at least partially within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The system may extract features from the received data according to a machine-learning model, which may be trained using a set of training data, each of which may be associated with sensory output relating to one or more predetermined event types. The system may generate, using the machine-learning model and the extracted features, a score representing a likelihood that the received data is indicative of one of the predetermined event types. An alert may be generated based a determination that the score satisfies a predetermined criterion.
