    Abstract: A method and system for measuring online advertisement dwell time. The method comprises monitoring a plurality of events being generated in a response to a user interaction with the online advertisement embedded in the webpage; determining at least a type of each event being monitored; instructing a counter adapted to count the dwell time to perform at least terminating the counting, starting the counting or stopping the counting; and recording a value of the counter as a measured dwell time, upon termination of the counting.
