    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device and a method of fabricating a liquid crystal display device having a pad including a first pad portion, a second pad portion, and a bent pad portion, the first pad portion being misaligned with the second pad portion, for making a uniform contact area and for maintaining a uniform output voltage even when misalignment occurs due to heat expansion are disclosed. The liquid crystal display device comprises a first substrate including a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and at least a pad contacting one of the gate lines and the data lines. A second substrate is positioned adjacent to the first substrate and includes a color filter layer, and a liquid crystal material layer formed between the first and second substrates. The pad includes a first pad portion and a second pad portion such that the first and second portions are misaligned with each other.
