  • Patent number: 6713966
Abstract: A power supply system has a battery for supplying power and a lamp having a plurality of filaments therein. Each of the filaments is connected to the battery through a filament power feed line, respectively. A switch is provided on each of the filament power feed line. A fault detection circuit measures a current that flows in a non-active filament and generates a fault signal that shuts off the switch for the filament when the current flows in the non-active filament.

Date of Patent: March 30, 2004
    Assignee: Yazaki North America, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6583591
Abstract: The present invention provides a circuit for operating a plurality of bi-directional motors, each motor having a pair of terminals disposed across the motor. The circuit includes a common half bridge for providing one of power and ground to one of the pair of terminals across each motor. A plurality of particular or individual half bridges, one particular half bridge for each motor, provide the other of power and ground to the other of the pair of terminals across each motor. A controller selectively controls the common half bridge and the particular half bridges to supply power in either direction across the pair of terminals of one or more of the motors. In a preferred embodiment, the controller selectively controls the common half bridge and the particular half bridges to independently pulse width modulate power in either direction across the pair of terminals of one or more of the plurality of motors.

  • Patent number: 6455951
Abstract: A power supply system having a simple arrangement of connections between a load connected to a positive terminal of a high voltage battery via a pulse modulation control circuit and to and a positive terminal of a low voltage battery permits loading to be controlled throughout the system without damage or electromagnetic interference. The power supply system can accommodate low voltage loads on the high voltage subsystem to reduce conversion requirements for any DC/DC converter that is included in the power supply system. A charging controller regulates the amount of charge supplied to the high voltage and low voltage batteries.
