  • Publication number: 20060274724
Abstract: Introduced is method of establishing communications between a call center and a user of a voice communications device, wherein parallel voice and data connections are established. In one embodiment of the method, a voice connection between a communication device and a call center is established and, parallel thereto, a data connection between the communications device and a data server is also established. By giving the call center access to the data server at the same time the user has access call center support is enhanced. The method permits the call center to be responsive to user inquiries at the same time the user is on line with the data server. For example, if the reason a user is in contact with the call center is to complete an application for insurance, the call center can provide verbal assistance to the user at the same time the user is completing an application form furnished by the data server.
