  • Patent number: 10242710
Abstract: A system for performing automatic cinemagraph creation is described herein. The system comprises a memory and a processor. The memory is configured to receive series of images. The processor is coupled to the memory. The processor is to segment the series of images, select the most fitting times and mask, and apply the times and masks to the series of images to generate a cinemagraph.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2016
Date of Patent: March 26, 2019
    Assignee: Intel Corporation

  • Patent number: 9741125
Abstract: Techniques for a system, article, and method of background-foreground segmentation for image processing may include obtaining pixel data including both non-depth data and depth data for at least one image, where the non-depth data includes color data or luminance data or both and associated with the pixels; determining whether a portion of the image is part of a background or foreground of the image based on the depth data and without using the non-depth data; and determining whether a border area between the background and foreground formed by using the depth data are part of the background or foreground depending on the non-depth data without using the depth data.

  • Patent number: 9665943
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and/or methods may provide for segmenting an image by generating a histogram of its pixel values, dividing the histogram into class intervals, and then iteratively computing new, shifted weighted means and shifted class interval boundaries for the class intervals until a predetermined level of convergence to a limit is obtained. The pixels may then be updated to a last weighted mean for class intervals to which they belong, providing segmentation. Similarly, any data may be segmented to provide computational efficiency.
