  • Patent number: 7276196
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a track formed from a circumferentially continuous belt made of elastomeric material and including an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface is provided with a plurality of drive blocks uniformly arranged on the circumference. The process includes a step in which a cylindrical inner mold formed by first and second cylindrical die-halves is assembled, the two die-halves being movable relative to each other in an axial direction to come into contact with each other at a joint surface. The inner mold includes a radially external laying surface provided with a plurality of uniformly spaced cavities for molding the drive blocks, each cavity being delimited in the axial direction by respective side walls of the first and second die halves. The joint surface of the two die-halves is axially closer to one side wall than to the other side wall. A device for stripping the track from the inner and outer molds is provided.

  • Patent number: 6609770
Abstract: A caterpillar made from elastomer material and having a plurality of guide teeth projecting from the inside surface of the caterpillar, the said guide teeth having lateral faces and front and rear faces in the longitudinal direction of the caterpillar, with at least one insert arranged inside each guide tooth, the caterpillar being characterized in that each insert located inside each guide tooth has a generally hollow shape enclosing a free volume to absorb in large measure the expansion of the elastomer material of the guide tooth during the molding and cross-linking of the material.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a track formed from a circumferentially continuous belt made of elastomeric material and comprising an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface being provided with a plurality of drive blocks uniformly arranged on the circumference, the process comprising a step in which an inner mold (10) formed by first and second die-halves (11, 12) is assembled, the two die-halves being able to be moved relative to each other in the axial direction to come into contact with each other on a joint surface. The inner mold (10) comprises a radially external laying surface (100) provided with a plurality of uniformly spaced cavities (103) for molding the drive blocks, each cavity being delimited in the axial direction by two side walls (111, 121), the joint surface (13) of the two die-halves (11, 12) being axially closer to one side wall than to the other side wall. A device for stripping the track from the inner and outer molds is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5165584
Abstract: A bow carrying device which is adapted to be worn on the body of an archer and used to carry the archer's bow adjacent the body in a hands free manner includes a first strap assembly and a second strap assembly. The first strap assembly is adapted to be removably mounted at one end on the bow frame. The second strap assembly is adapted to be anchored by a loop formed at one end on a shoulder of the archer, extend around the top of the back of the archer and then extend down on the front of the archer on the side opposite the shoulder to which it is anchored. Complementary portions of a quick release fastener are mounted on each one of the strap assemblies so that the bow can be easily detached from the second strap member when desired. The bow need not be detached from the second strap assembly to make a shot. The second strap assembly is adjustable in length and also in the size of the anchor loop so as to accommodate different sized archers.

  • Patent number: 4682478
Abstract: A device for obtaining novelty yarns from at least two elementary yarns connected to each other by chain stitches constituted by at least one of the yarns. The device has a rotatable hollow spindle which passes the yarn made. The spindle supports and rotates at least one knitting needle. At least one of the elementary yarns is introduced into the nose of the needle during rotation of the spindle. An assembly is used to cast off the stitches formed on the needle and to guide the novelty yarn obtained thereby inside the internal channel of the hollow spindle.

  • Patent number: 4371120
Abstract: A particle grinder includes a container having at least one opening in a wall thereof; a sound isolation layer covers a major portion of the exterior surface of the container and an elogated fastening device passes through the opening, fastening the sound isolation layer to the container. The fastening device includes a bolt and a nut threadable onto the bolt. A first sleeve composed of substantially non-deformable material surrounds the elongated fastening device at least partially within a region of the opening, and a second and resilient sleeve surrounds the first sleeve, at least partially and normally projects exteriorly therebeyond. A clearance exists normally between the sleeves and the sound isolation layer abuts an exterior portion of the second sleeve. A resilient seal is disposed around the periphery of a portion of the fastening device, and between the first sleeve, and the container.
