  • Publication number: 20210192993
Abstract: A retractable flag enclosure apparatus has an enclosure shell that has an aperture. The retractable flag enclosure apparatus also has a knob operably attached to a top end of the enclosure shell. Additionally, the retractable flag enclosure apparatus has a primary dowel and a secondary dowel. Furthermore, the retractable flag enclosure apparatus has flag with a first end adhered to the primary dowel. The flag and the primary dowel are positioned within the enclosure shell such that a portion of the flag is retracted through the aperture via motion applied to the knob and a portion of the flag is pulled through the aperture. Also, the flag has a second end that is adhered to the secondary dowel such that the secondary dowel is positioned on the exterior of the aperture and prevented from entering the enclosure shell.

  • Patent number: 5824238
Abstract: The present invention relates to firefighting foam concentrates including a protein hydrolysate in association with:(a) at least one fluorinated cotelomer which has a perfluoroalkyl radical and a polymerized chain consisting of units of an anionic hydrophilic monomer and of a nonionic hydrophilic monomer, and(b) at least one fluorinated surface-active agent whose aqueous solution at a concentration 1 g/l has at 20.degree. C. a surface tension lower than 25 mN/m.These film-forming emulsifiers are effective both against hydrocarbon fires and against polar-liquid fires.

  • Patent number: 5025068
Abstract: A process for preparing an epoxy resin and a process for preparing a hardened and cured epoxy resin adhesive is provided, together with the epoxy resins and adhesives made thereby. The epoxy resin is prepared by mixing together about 76 parts per hundred of a novolac epoxy resin, about 19 parts per hundred of a bisphenol F epoxy resin, and about 5 parts per hundred of carboxy-terminated butadiene acrylonitrile, heating the mixture to a temperature of from about 290 to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a time of from about two to about three hours, and then cooling. An epoxy adhesive is prepared by mixing 100 parts of the material so prepared with about 20 parts of a curing agent consisting essentially of diethyltriamine. The resulting adhesive mixture has a paste-like consistency that is easily applied and cured at ambient temperature. The shear strength of the cured adhesive is about 4000 psi at ambient temperature and about 2000 psi at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Patent number: 4932673
Abstract: A one-piece gasket is used between millimeter waveguide sections to prevent energy leakage from the joint. The gasket consists of an electrically conductive elastomeric ring filled with metallic particles, a conformable metallic inner shield on the inner periphery of the ring, and a conformable metallic outer shield on the outer periphery of the ring. The gasket is conveniently prepared by casting the filled elastomer in place between the shields.

  • Patent number: 4029347
Abstract: A support stand assembly primarily designed for the adjustable support and positioning of work articles such as macrame, woven rugs, tapestry or the like, while such work is being formed by an operator. A base has a primary support element connected thereto and extending upwardly in an elongated manner so as to maintain and adjustably position the work being formed at various heights along its length. A retaining cable and pulley assembly are cooperatively attached to one another and adjustably positioned on the head portion of the primary support element for regulating and selectively adjusting the position or height of the work relative to the height of the operator performing the work on the article.
