  • Patent number: 11912460
Abstract: A container includes an end wall having a rivet and a frangible score line that defines a curved tongue shaped panel. The frangible score line terminates at each end substantially on a radial line extending from a lever mounting hole formed within the curved tongue shaped panel. A tab is riveted to the lever-mounting hole to act as second-degree lever. The tab has a first actuating point extending toward the distal looping portion of the frangible score line. The tab has a fulcrum portion extending opposite to the first actuating point and terminating within the curved tongue shape. Lifting of the first actuating point pulls upward on the curved tongue shaped panel at the distal looping portion imparts a shear force of the frangible score line to initiate upward rolling of an extended portion of the curved tongue shaped panel.

  • Publication number: 20050190584
Abstract: A method and system for providing power to a wireline logging system includes a rectifier section operable to receive an AC input signal and generate a first DC power signal as an output. A converter section cascadedly coupled to the rectifier section converts the first DC power signal to a second DC power signal. An inverter section cascadedly coupled to the converter section is operable to generate an output power signal providing power to a system in response to receiving the second DC power signal. A control section is coupled to the rectifier section, the converter section, the inverter section and a communications link. The communications link is operable to receive information describing waveforms for the output power signal. The control section is operable to receive the information and control a corresponding section to generate the waveforms in response to receiving the information.

  • Patent number: 5490455
Abstract: A trash collection and compacting apparatus primarily intended for use onboard an aircraft comprising a stationary compactor unit and interrelated movable trolley unit, the trolley unit having a plurality of separate trash collection chambers into which trash is deposited and compacted. The trolley unit includes wheels for moving the trolley through an aircraft for the collection of trash, and support rails for supporting the trolley unit on the compactor unit for the direct compaction of trash in the trolley. The compactor unit includes a compaction ram mounted on a carriage assembly for movement into discrete positions overlying each collection chamber of the trolley unit, and supports the trolley so that compaction forces are not transmitted to the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 5465660
Abstract: A trash collection and compacting apparatus primarily intended for use onboard an aircraft comprising a stationary compactor unit and interrelated movable wheeled trolley unit, the trolley unit having a plurality of separate trash collection chambers into which trash is deposited and compacted and support rails for supporting the trolley unit on the compactor unit for the direct compaction of trash in the trolley. The trolley unit also has separable sides to facilitate removal of compacted trash, and multiple fail safe locks and latches to ensure that the sides are not inadvertently separated during trash collection and compaction. Fire doors are provided to close the chambers, and removable trash bins are disposed in each trash chamber to facilitate handling of compacted trash, the bins having separable sides for emptying the compacted trash therefrom.
