  • Publication number: 20160208205
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for production of beer, in which the mashing is conducted in a first vessel (1) with supply of heat and while stirring, and the mash thus produced is then lautered in the same vessel (1), and then the wort boiling, the cooling of the wort, the hot and cold trub separation and finally the fermentation is conducted. A simplification of the method can be achieved through lautering by drawing the wort through a filter plate (3) in the first vessel (1).

  • Patent number: 8375976
Abstract: A system and a method are provided for attenuating pressure surges of liquids, e.g., of a biologically vulnerable liquid, flowing inside a liquid conduit and for cleaning, in particular sterilizing, the liquid conduit. In particular, the liquid is permitted to swerve, in the event that pressure surges occur, into a gas-filled space communicating with the liquid conduit.

  • Patent number: 7132119
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing beer comprising filtering beer through a porous membrane until such time that the porous membrane is in need of cleaning, contacting the porous membrane with an enzyme selected from the group consisting of cellulases, amylases, and combinations thereof, particularly a cellulase having a crystalline:soluble cellulose activity ratio at 60 minutes of at least about 0.1, to clean the porous membrane, and then reusing the porous membrane to continue filtering beer.
