Abstract: Quinoline compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which: ##STR2## represents a group of the formula: ##STR3## in which: R' is hydrogen or methyl,R and R" which are the same or different, each represents: hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) acyl haloacyl or aminoacyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3) alkylsulfonyl, or diethylphosphonyl;n is an integer form 1 to 4 inclusive;T is phenyl, halophenyl, trifluoromethylphenyl [(C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl] phenyl, [(C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkoxy] phenyl, or a five or six-membered heterocyclic radical containing one or two atoms selected from nitrogen and sulfur atoms optionally substituted by one or more (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkoxy.These compounds and physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof may be used a medicines especially in the treatment of disorders connected with hypoxemia and energetic metabolic insufficiency especially during cerebral aging.

Abstract: Benzodioxine compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which Het is a five- or six-membered heterocyclic radical containing from one to three hetero atoms, and from one to three double bonds, optionally substituted by one or more alkyl or alkoxy radicals each from C.sub.1 to C.sub.5.These compounds and physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof may be used as medicines, especially in the treatment of psychoses.

Abstract: Xanthine compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 is hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl;R.sub.2 is hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl optionally having a double bond, or benzyl;R.sub.3 is hydrogen or methyl;A is (CH.sub.2).sub.n, in which n is an integer from 1 to 4, optionally substituted, when n is higher than 1, by hydroxy;X is nitrogen or ##STR2## and the substituents R are each (C.sub.1 -C.sub.5) alkyl or they form together a polymethylene chain from C.sub.4 to C.sub.6, optionally containing an oxygen or a sulfur atom.These compounds and physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof may be used as medicines especially in the treatment of migraine and asthenia.

Abstract: Biphenylalkylene-thiazolyl-piperazines of the formula ##STR1## wherein Ar and A are as defined herein, e.g., 1-[4-(4-phenylsulfinylbenzyl)-2-thiazolyl]piperazine, and 1-[4-(4-biphenylylmethyl)-2-thiazolyl]piperazine, and their physiologically tolerable salts are provided. These compounds are useful as medicines for the treatment of inflammation with an immunological component, and are useful as hypolipemic and hypocholesterolemic agents and to assist lowering of lipid and cholesterol content in the blood.
