  • Patent number: 4577371
Abstract: A machine for peeling, skimming, skinning and/or slicing a cut of meat or fish, which machine comprises a central compartment in which are transversally mounted a cutting blade attached to a pivotable blade support, a drive roller mounted in cooperative relationship with respect to the blade for pushing toward said blade a cut of meat or fish, a comb and, optionally, a brush for cleaning the roller. The machine also comprises a pair of lateral compartments located on both sides of the central compartment, these lateral compartments being tight and containing a driving chain for rotating the roller and the brush. One of these lateral compartments also contains a control member for adjusting the position of the pivotable blade support. This blade support is mounted in the central compartment in such a manner that the upper surface of the drive roller is always located at a level slightly higher than the level of the blade to make the operation of the machine safer.

  • Patent number: 4092135
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube assembly for use in isotopic separation diffusers. Each tube assembly is secured at each end to an end-plate and comprises a number of filter tubes assembled by fitting together adjacent ends which are provided with inter-fitting spigots having a diameter greater than that of the body of the tube. The assembled tubes are connected together in bundles by means of resilient means located at the level of the spigots so that the tubes make contact with each other via the abutting spigots.

  • Patent number: 3981696
Abstract: A multipassage diffuser having 2p passages comprises a leak-tight cylindrical enclosure closed by a top cover and a bottom end-wall, parallel porous tubes which are rigidly assembled in sectors between tube plates and through which the gas mixture flows, the tube sectors being disposed at uniform intervals on the periphery of the enclosure. The top tube plates are rigidly fixed to an annular header having the shape of a half-torus and adapted to communicate with the tubes of the corresponding sector. Each passage is constituted by a plurality of juxtaposed sectors in which the mixture circulates in the same direction, the header being divided into p portions limited by radial partition-walls and each constituting two adjacent passages.
