  • Patent number: 7497742
Abstract: A one-piece, controlled insertion force, elastic socket type contact 7 for electrical connectors, including a rear part 11 in the form of a rod defining a first cylindrical zone A and a tubular front part 12 including a second cylindrical zone C extending the rear part open in the forward direction and divided up by slots 13 into elastic beams 14, a spindle-shaped end zone D in which the thickness of the beams 14 gradually decreases in the direction of the open end 15 of the tubular part 12 which further includes a cylindrical segment B divided up by slots 13 into at least two elastic beams 14 which has a cone frustum-shaped zone on its outer surface 16.

  • Patent number: 6537112
Abstract: A strip (1) is described which includes a first device (5, 15) for temporarily holding a contact (2), and having a second device (26) for retaining the contact inside a tube. Provided with a clip (39) in such a manner that the contact is ready to be inserted in a receptacle of a connector. The strip allows the displacement of several grouped contacts, in a parallel arrangement on the strip. The strip is preferably displaced in coiled form, therefore having protection devices (41) to prevent the contacts from crushing over each other. Precut bridges (44) allow an easy separation of contacts surrounded by their respective clip from the strip.

  • Patent number: 5302145
Abstract: The blade (12) is intended for a female contact for an electrical connector and arranged in order to extend into an elongate slot of a tubular socket of the contact by bearing against an external tube and by being engaged inside this socket and radially movable in an elastic fashion when a pin of an associated male contact is introduced into the socket. It comprises a central portion (13) bearing against the external tube, located between a tail end (7) and a contact end (9), which has a continuous longitudinal curvature of large radius and without folding so that the bearing surface.

  • Patent number: 5252087
Abstract: A polygonal section connector comprises a male portion (1) and a female portion (9) that are suitable for coupling together, each supported by a respective support, with at least one of said portions being supported in floating manner. The female portion and/or the male portion is/are provided with alignment means (7, 16; 8, 17) for aligning the male portion in the female portion. One of the connector portions is fitted with centering means for centering it relative to the other portion, which means are suitable for prepositioning said portion, even when presented with an offset and/or an inclination relative to the other portion. The alignment means comprise prealignment means for prealigning the male portion in the female portion and including a skirt (12) which is polygonal in section and designed to receive the male portion as precentered by the centering means. The skirt (12) and the male portion (1) are provided with complementary reliefs (7, 16) for prealigning the male portion in the skirt (12).
