  • Patent number: 4394885
Abstract: This invention relates to load receivers in which a solid member with a constriction supplies the opposing elastic force. The connection between this solid member and the remainder of the load receiver is produced exclusively by pairs of bolts, tightly housed in bores of the solid member; each pair of bolts co-operates moreover with a part of the load receiver which has a lower rigidity than that of the material constituting the solid member. Such load receivers can be used in weighing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4366875
Abstract: This invention relates to a capacity measuring device. A first capacity-frequency converter operates on the capacity to be measured and supplies a measurement frequency FM; a second capacity-frequency converter co-operates with a standard capacity and supplies a standard frequency FE. A calculation circuit determines (M.multidot.FM/FE)-N and a display circuit visualizes this numerical magnitude. The device can be used for weighing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4285413
Abstract: The invention relates to a load receiver comprising an upper plate 10 and lower plate 11, and a weighing mechanism located between them. The weighing mechanism is made of two half-beams 12 and 13 supported on pieces 128 and 138 hinged on one side with respect to the upper plate 10 and on the other side with respect to the lower plate 11. Connected at their center by an elastic strip 14 having a constriction 140, these beams receive a flection related to the load. This flection is transferred by arms 15 and 16 to electrodes 151 and 161 forming a capacitor. By measuring the capacity of the capacitor, the weight of the load is obtained. The invention is of use notably for flat bathroom scales.

  • Patent number: 4187460
Abstract: Capacitance measuring device for measuring a physical quantity proportional or inversely proportional to the capacitance X of a first capacitor. A oscillating circuit includes a second capacitor having a reference capacitance X.sub.E or the first capacitor during successive reference and measuring phases under control switching network respectively. A counter counts a predetermined oscillation pulse number N.sub.E during the reference phase and a oscillation pulse number N.sub.X during the measuring phase. The duration of two phases are equal or in a predetermined ratio R by means of a counter-down-counter which counts and down-counts the same number of clock pulses at least a predetermined frequency. The change of the counting to down-counting condition is controlled by the counter when its count is equal to N.sub.E. The stopping of the counter is controlled by the counter-down-counter when its count is equal to zero at the end of the measuring phase.
