Abstract: A freight container (10), typically a container with ISO standard external dimensions, has a floor, walls and a roof. The roof (16) can be lifted off from the walls, and has means by which goods can be suspended from the roof module, so that they will be lifted out of the container, suspended from the roof module, when the roof module is lifted off, and can be loaded into the container by being first secured underneath a container roof and then being lifted with the roof into place within the container, the roof being subsequently secured to the tops of the walls to enclose the container.
