Abstract: A method and an apparatus for optimizing the growth of a plant by taking a measurement of at least one property of a plant growing in a growing medium, calculating the optimal nutritional requirement of the plant based on the measurement, and then injecting an optimal amount of at least one substance selected from the group consisting of water, fertilizer and a combination of water and fertilizer into the container. A rotating drum apparatus is provided for the practice of the invention.

Abstract: A reflector arrangement which may be used for a horticultural device, the reflector apparatus comprising a first reflector member extending downwardly from a first point above the light emitting source along a first side thereof, and a second reflector member extending downwardly from a second point above the light emitting source along a second side thereof, each of the reflector members being individually adjustable to increase and decrease the angle with respect to each other to thereby adjust the range of light covered by the light emitting source.

Abstract: A bulb holder which comprises a bulb socket and a housing, a ring member formed of a resilient material, the ring member having first and second ends biased away from each other to a position where the first and second ends are spaced apart, the ends being movable towards each other to thereby diminish the size of the ring, and first and second arms interconnecting the ring member and the socket housing. The bulb holder permits circulation of air throughout a transparent tube in which the bulb is mounted.

The support assembly is particularly designed to supporting equipment such as thermo pumps, air conditioners and the like.

Abstract: There is provided a sports equipment rack which has a central post, a plurality of outwardly extending hanger members to receive an article of clothing or piece of sports equipment, with at least one of the hanger members being moveable between a first storage position wherein the member lies adjacent the central post and a second garment or equipment hanging position wherein the hanger member extends outwardly to receive the piece of clothing or sports equipment. An elasticized member preferably extends around the post and the moveable hanger members to retain the same in a storage position when not wanted. There is also provided a portable sports equipment rack.
