  • Patent number: 4380799
Abstract: A mechanical connection between the accelerator pedal and the carburetor of an automobile which comprises, in particular, a control block controlled by an electronic computer, an epicyclic train controlled by a motorized reduction gear, a recopy potentiometer, a blade turning about the axis of symmetry of the epicyclic train and an electromagnet for blocking the accelerator pedal in a position corresponding to a friction point.

  • Patent number: 4357507
Abstract: An electromechanical arrangement for automatic return of an electronic blinker located on a steering column of a motor vehicle includes a movable arm carrying a magnet at its free end and slaved at its other end by the intermediary of a roller to the rotation of the steering column of the motor vehicle. Reed ampulses disposed in fixed positions permit detection of predetermined values of angles of rotation of the steering column.

  • Patent number: 4306218
Abstract: A device for controlling components of electrical equipment of a motor vehicle, such as flashing direction indicators, warning lights, side and rear lamps, etc. Respective control switches actuable by the driver of the vehicle, control circuit units for processing control signals from the control switches, control relays activated by the control circuit units to supply the components, and a synthesis circuit common to all of the control circuit units and providing a common supply output for all the control circuit units are provided. The synthesis circuit has a prepositioning circuit providing a prepositioning output, and a general clock adapted to serve as a time base for the system by controlling an input shifting circuit, in each control circuit unit, to shift a transient control signal such that it is provided at the output of the input shifting circuit when its duration is of at least one clock period.

  • Patent number: 4224907
Abstract: A speed limiter for the regulation of the speed of an internal combustion engine wherein in addition to a first kinematic linkage chain between a manually operable acceleration pedal and an engine throttle is provided a second computer controlled kinematic linkage chain which can assume speed regulation control in such a way that the second chain can take over from the first when the first has maximally opened the throttle and without the first chain hindering the functioning of the second under the command of the computer as soon as the vehicle has entered the prescribed range of regulation. In one embodiment the second kinematic chain includes a pneumatic actuator coupled to the throttle and operable by means of the opening electrovalves as controlled by the computer in accordance with vehicle speed and acceleration. In another embodiment, the second kinematic linkage chain includes a reversible motor having a shaft rotatable under the control of the system computer.

  • Patent number: 4105928
Abstract: A sequential control circuit capable of sequencing through a number of stable states in a predetermined order, starting from a predetermined stable state and sequencing in either of two opposite directions. A contact maker having two transient positions is connected to a timing circuit and to a logic circuit. In response to assumption by the contact maker of one of its transient positions, the timing circuit provides a timer signal delayed with respect to the interval of that transient position. The logic circuit sequences through a number of output conditions corresponding with the stable states in a direction determined by the particular transient position. The logic circuit includes circuitry for placing the circuit in a predetermined one of the output conditions upon initial start up.

  • Patent number: 3941203
Abstract: The anti-spinning device comprises for each wheel a sensor delivering electric pulses proportional in number to the peripheral distance covered by the wheel, with a lower number of pulses in the case of a driving wheel, and at least one up/down counter receiving said pulses and co-acting with means for introducing a retard into the ignition system. Said means comprise between the contact breaker and the ignition elements proper a shift register for the breaker signal, a clock adapted to be released by this signal and controlling the successive shifts of the breaker signal in said shift register, and a multiplexer for selecting the original or retarded breaker signal, which is connected to the outputs of said shift register and responsive to a channel selector circuit responsive in turn to the state of said up/down counter. Said device may be applied for protecting against the spinning of driving wheels in a motor vehicle.
