The device provided with a sensor system in which the acceleration in each of the directions extending perpendicularly to each other can be converted into an electric signal. The value that is representative of the accelerations can be determined from the electric signals by the signal processing means. Prior to the signal processing means, the electric signals are added together by means of an adding element.
