A north pole surface of a magnet is applied to the hands or at least one hand of a person being treated, and is maintained in contact for a time period or periods in accordance with the ailments or afflictions being treated. The magnet is maintained in contact for a time period or periods sufficient to elicit affirmative response, alleviation, or cure. Concurrently with application of the magnet to the hands, an additional magnet or magnets may be applied to a particular afflicted area or areas of the body of the person, the additional magnet or magnets being configurated to accommodate the area being treated and having appropriate total magnetic flux.
