Abstract: Included are systems and methods for providing dynamic content into a static electronic document. At least one embodiment includes receiving an indication to include the dynamic content into the static electronic document, creating a computer program that defines functionality of the dynamic content, and deploying the computer program into the static electronic document. Similarly, some embodiments include sending the static electronic document to a user computing device, where at least a first portion of the static electronic document is configured to be viewed as a locally stored document and at least a second portion of the static electronic document receives the dynamic content from a remote computing device and receiving a request to provide the dynamic content, the request being provided in response to a user selection of a predetermined area of interest in the static electronic document.
