  • Patent number: 5588192
Abstract: A profiled cylinder for teaseling and/or fluffing machines of the type having a generally cylindrical outer peripheral surface and provided at its ends with support hubs for its rotation, in which the radially outer peripheral surface has a particular profile caused by a plurality of variously arranged geometrical forms or surface portions disposed for abraiding contact with a fabric which is to be treated by passage through the machine.

  • Patent number: 5528804
Abstract: A teaseling and/or fluffing machine for fabric, including a load-bearing structure having two sidepieces supporting at least one drum which rotates about a central shaft and supports on its two lateral endpieces two series of teaseling and/or fluffing rollers of with-pile type and against-pile-type. These rollers are arranged along generatrices of the drum, with those of one series rotating relative to those of the other under independent drive. A fabric to be treated passes about the teaseling and/or fluffing rollers and is fed to the machine by a driven feed roller and extracted therefrom by a driven exit roller. There also being provided brushes which interact alternately with the teaseling and/or fluffing rollers. The with-pile and against-pile teaseling and/or fluffing rollers are provided with supports.

  • Patent number: 5526557
Abstract: A teaseling and/or fluffing machine for fabric and knitwork with improved suction and cleaning, including a load-bearing structure with two sidepieces supporting at least one drum which rotates about a central shaft and supports on its two lateral endpieces two series of teaseling and/or fluffing rollers of with-pile type and against-pile-type, arranged along the generatrices of the drum with those of one series rotating relative to those of the other under independent drive. A fabric to be treated passes about the teaseling and/or fluffing rollers and is fed to the machine by a driven feed roller and extracted therefrom by a driven exit roller. Brushes are provided which interact alternately with the teaseling and/or fluffing rollers. A suction unit associated with apertures provided in a sidepiece of the load-bearing structure creates a suction within the drum to collect the fibers and dust generated during operation. The brushes are specifically divided into two mutually interacting groups of two.

  • Patent number: 5517736
Abstract: A teaseling and/or fluffing machine for fabric and knitwork, with tension control, including a load-bearing structure with two sidepieces supporting at least one drum which rotates about a central shaft and supports on its two lateral endpieces two series of teaseling and/or fluffing rollers, of with-pile type and against-pile-type. These rollers are arranged along generatrices of the drum with those of one series rotating relative to those of the other under independent drive. • Patent number: 4050270
Abstract: An apparatus for washing and scouring fabrics by means of a washing liquid, comprising a tub filled with washing liquid and a cylinder rotatable inside the tube and forming the driving means for the fabric. The latter, passing in the space between the cylinder and the bottom of the tub, is subjected to opposite jets of washing liquid impulsively emitted by opposite pairs of ejectors, whereby a continuous motion of the fabric is caused to take place and the washing liquid is continuously vibrating.

  • Patent number: 3977580
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for turning inside out a tubular fabric (e.g. stockings), which comprises a fabric-container, a tube for turning the fabric inside out, said tube overhangingly extending from the container, an air-drawing and blowing unit for blowing air into and drawing air from said tube, air-stream deflecting means to cause the blown air-stream to be deflected towards the outside face of the tube and valve means. The mechanical structure is simplified over that of the devices of the prior art and the operation becomes continuous instead of being intermittent. Manual manipulations are virtually suppressed.

  • Patent number: 3950968
Abstract: A fabric washing machine with a continuous feeding system, particularly useful for washing delicate fabrics such as gabardine, jersey and the like, comprises a stationary tank containing a solvent or liquid detergent and provided with an upper and lower row of fixed blades. In the interspace defined between the outer ends of these blades a stationary washing drum with apertured walls is housed, and two plurality of blades are mounted respectively above and below the drum in correspondence with the two rows of fixed blades, being adapted to oscillate so that each blade can move between two adjacent stationary blades.

  • Patent number: 3941897
Abstract: A process for the continuous paraffining of yarns in which the yarns are drawn under tension over the top of a rotating cylinder that has been coated with a layer of solidified paraffin. The cylinder then rotates back through a bath of molten paraffin to replace the paraffin removed by the yarns, the outer surface of the cylinder being cooled to a degree sufficient to solidify the paraffin before it contacts the yarns.
