  • Publication number: 20110017725
Abstract: A heated laminated assembly includes a first layer having an electro-conductive film provided thereon. A first conductor having a thickness of at least 0.15 mm is positioned on the electro-conductive film. A second conductor having a thickness of at least 0.15 mm is positioned on the electro-conductive film in spaced-apart relation to the first conductor. A second layer is positioned on the electro-conductive film between the first conductor and the second conductor. A third layer is positioned on the second layer.

  • Publication number: 20100200293
Abstract: A glass panel assembly includes a glass sheet having an electro-conductive film provided thereon. A conductor having a thickness of at least about 0.15 mm is positioned on the electro-conductive film. An electrically conductive adhesive is provided between the conductor and the electro-conductive film. A retainer engages an edge portion of the glass sheet and the conductor. The retainer applies a compressive pressure to the conductor, the compressive pressure enhancing electrical contact between the conductor and the electro-conductive film.

  • Patent number: 7700901
Abstract: A glass panel assembly according to one embodiment of the invention may include a first glass sheet having an electro-conductive film provided thereon and a conductor positioned at a location on the electro-conductive film. A retainer engages an edge portion of the first glass sheet and the conductor so that the retainer applies a compressive pressure to the conductor. The compressive pressure enhances electrical contact between the conductor and the electro-conductive film.

  • Patent number: 7362491
Abstract: A heated glass panel assembly according to one embodiment of the invention may include a substrate having an electro-conductive film provided thereon. A conductor is positioned in contact with the electro-conductive film. A resilient material is positioned in contact with the conductor so that at least a portion of the conductor is located between the resilient material and the electro-conductive film. A retainer is positioned in contact with the resilient material so that at least a portion of the resilient material and at least a portion of the conductor are located between the retainer and the electro-conductive film. The retainer applies a compressive pressure to the resilient material which transfers at least a portion of the compressive pressure to the conductor to hold the conductor in contact with the electro-conductive film.

  • Publication number: 20070188843
Abstract: A heated glass panel system may include a glass sheet having an electro-conductive film provided thereon, a first conductor positioned at a first location on the electro-conductive film, and a second conductor positioned at a second location on the electro-conductive film. A first terminal of a supply of direct current is connected to the first conductor. A control system is connected in series between a second terminal of the supply of direct current and the second conductor and connects the supply of direct current to the second conductor.
