  • Patent number: 10724693
Abstract: A portable tower trailer having a light tower housing constructed to allow for both stacking and nesting which is beneficial in both storage and shipping of light towers is disclosed. The portable tower trailer employs a frame having a hinged axle that allows the wheels to operate in a conventional manner. The hinged axle further allows the wheels to be rotated upward allowing the frame to rest flush on the ground or stacked upon a similar shaped portable tower. The stackable light tower is constructed having a base employing an engine system and a fuel tank; and a mast pivotally coupled to the base and movable between a storage configuration and a positioning configuration. The storage configuration is when the mast is folded over an upper surface of the base whereby an additional light tower base or tower trailer may be placed or stacked over the top of the first light tower base.

  • Patent number: 10618580
Abstract: A stackable enclosure for support of a mast stored in horizontal position and tiltable to a vertically deployed position. The enclosure employs a housing have sidewalls constructed and arranged to support a plurality of stacked enclosures. A telescoping mast using a winch permits manual extension of three mast members. The housing can include a power system to operate a light bank. Outriggers positioned along each corner of the enclosure provide stability to the mast in high winds. A hinged axle can be used to pivot enclosure wheels upward, allowing the enclosure to rest flush on a deck drawing a width of about 48 inches. Alternative the wheels & axle can be removed wherein each enclosure has a width less than about 30 inches.

Abstract: A stackable enclosure for support of a mast stored in horizontal position and rotatable to a vertically deployed position. The enclosure employs a housing have sidewalls constructed and arranged to support a plurality of stacked enclosures. The dimensions of the enclosure with wheels can allow for the transporting of thirty units on a single 48 drop deck trailer. The enclosure has a hinged lid to allow ease of access to the interior which can house a power system to operate a bank of lights. Outriggers positioned along each corner of the enclosure provide stability to the mast in high winds. A hinged axle can be used to pivot enclosure wheels upward, allowing the enclosure to rest flush on a trailer deck or ground surface.

  • Patent number: 10401006
Abstract: Disclosed is a compact portable light tower that can be stacked or nested. The light tower employs a scissors lift mechanism to raise a set of bar lights from a housing having a height of about 28? and a length of about 60?, to an extended height of about 360?. The scissors lift is extended and retracted by use of a linear actuator. Batteries or an engine/generator assembly is employed for operation of the actuator and light bar. The housing can be stacked for ease of storage and transportation. Outriggers provide stabilization of ground engagement.

  • Patent number: 7034410
Abstract: A low profile engine/generator set has dimensions suitable for being placed in an enclosure hung on the frame of a vehicle. The enclosure may serve as a step for ingress and egress from the vehicle. To reduce the space required for a generator and engine to fit within such an enclosure, the components are rigidly coupled together with a base plate. The base plate serves as the floor of the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20050167090
Abstract: An auxiliary power system for trucks, the power system having a small diesel engine coupled to an air conditioner compressor and an automotive style alternator. During hot weather the auxiliary engine rotates the air conditioner compressor to provide cool air to the truck and electrical power to truck accessories by load management controls. When peak loads occur, the voltage is reduced into the field of the alternator allowing the small engine to simultaneously operate the air conditioning compressor. During cold weather the engine coolant is used to cool the auxiliary engine and is circulated through a heat exchanger for warming of the truck interior. Full capacity of the alternator is allowed, accommodating the higher amp draws typical of cold weather diesel operation.
