  • Publication number: 20210325918
Abstract: A thermostatic mixer, including manually adjusting means to adjust the inflow rates of hot water and cold water in the mixer, operable by the user, and automatic adjusting means to adjust the temperature of the mixed water delivered by the mixer, adjustable by the user, is described. The user manually adjusts the flow rate and sets the desired temperature of the mixed water; the temperature is feedback controlled by automatic thermostat means. The mixer includes a single control lever operable by the user to control both the manually adjusting means to adjust the inflow rates of hot and cold water and the automatic adjusting means to adjust the temperature of the mixed water. In order to facilitate adjusting of the temperature, the mixer includes a gear mechanism functionally interposed between the control lever and the adjusting shaft of the automatic adjusting means to adjust the temperature of the mixed water.

  • Patent number: 10935996
Abstract: A mixer valve of hot and cold water is described, for sanitary fixtures, provided with a pressure balancer of the inlet flows of cold water and hot water. If need be, the valve can also be provided with a temperature regulator and/or a multi-way diverter. The pressure balancer comprises a cylindrical element in which two inlet chambers of cold water and hot water are defined and separated by a movable plunger. When a pressure variation occurs in one of the two inlet flows, the plunger moves correspondingly thus modifying the volume of one of the two chambers, in order to compensate the pressure variation not transmitted to the flows sent to the downstream mixer cartridge. The pressure balancer is coaxial to the other valve components. Advantageously, the movable plunger slides along the longitudinal axis of the valve.

  • Patent number: 10025326
Abstract: A mixer valve for sanitary fixtures is provided. The mixer valve includes a pressure regulator, a piston, a thermostatic element, and a flow diverter. The pressure regulator is operable to regulate hot water flow from a hot water inflow opening and cold water flow from a cold water inflow opening to a mixing chamber. The piston is operable to regulate a temperature of mixed water flow resulting from mixing of the hot water flow and the cold water flow in the mixing chamber. The thermostatic element is operable to move the piston in response to changes in the temperature of the mixed water flow. The flow diverter is operable to divert the mixed water flow from the mixed water outflow opening to multiple connected users. The pressure regulator is fluidically upstream of the piston and the thermostatic element. The piston and the thermostatic element are fluidically upstream of the flow diverter.

  • Publication number: 20150220090
Abstract: A thermostatic valve for mixer taps comprising a body provided with a chamber for mixing water, is described. Inflowing side openings for separately inflowing hot water and cold water to the mixing chamber are provided at different heights of the body. Automated means for regulating the flow rates of hot water and cold water operate to intercept the inflowing side openings. The automated means comprise in their turn a thermostatic bulb operating in the mixing chamber and a movable piston to feedback close completely or partially, and selectively, the inflowing side openings in response to the expansions the thermostatic head is subjected to. The valve body comprises a first quick—coupling portion shaped so as to mechanically and fluidically couple with a pressure regulator adapted to regulate the flows of hot water and cold water.

  • Publication number: 20030101510
Abstract: This invention relates to a hot and cold water mixer tap for bath tubs, showers and the like which incorporates a multi-functional group comprising a thermostatic unit (14) to control mixing and temperature of the water, and of a flow diverter unit (15) to selectively deliver water to one or at least two outlets. The thermostatic unit (14) and the flow diverter unit (15) are pre-assembled in a cartridge configuration and one part of the thermostatic unit forms a means for controlling the flow deviator.

  • Patent number: 5299593
Abstract: The invention relates to a mixer valve for hot and cold water having a cartridge-type body 10 with a rise 16 which is integral to the base 11 of its body and the rise having a slot 17 for holding a pressure balancer 18. The slot has passages for the inlet of water to the balancer and passages for the outlet of water from the balancer towards the plate-type mixer unit inside the body, the water coming out of the mixer unit and going towards the delivery mouth passing on outside and around the slot.
