  • Patent number: 10078800
Abstract: A circuit for implementing an artificial neuron comprises: an integrator for an input signal to produce a voltage signal; a signal generator linked to the integrator output producing two output signals when the voltage is at or above a predetermined voltage, a first signal for an output pulse of the neuron and a second signal for a control pulse; a resistive memory comprising two terminals switching from a high to low resistance state in a time following a statistical distribution specific to the memory, a first terminal linked to the output of the integrator; a transistor linked to a branch at zero potential to a second terminal of the resistive memory, controlled by the second output signal such that in the presence of a pulse of voltage the resistive memory switches from its high resistance state to its low resistance state with a view to lowering the voltage.

  • Patent number: 10002664
Abstract: The invention more particularly relates to a resistive memory cell comprising a first and a second metal electrodes and a solid electrolyte positioned between the first and the second metal electrodes, with the solid electrolyte comprising a commutation layer in contact with the first electrode and a dielectric layer, with said resistive memory cell being able to be electrically modified so as to switch from a first resistive state to a second resistive state (state LRS) wherein the resistance (RON) of the memory cell is at least ten times smaller than the resistance (ROFF) of the memory cell in the HRS state, in the LRS state the first electrode being so arranged as to supply metal ions intended to form at least a conductive filament through said commutation layer, with the cell being characterized in that, in the LRS state, the memory cell is conductive for a range of voltages between 0 Volts and VREST 2 .

  • Publication number: 20060085026
Abstract: A lesion treating device for converting a standard balloon catheter into a cutting balloon catheter is provided. The device includes a longitudinal housing such as a tube which is sized to be inserted into a lumen of the balloon catheter and cutting wires disposed within the longitudinal housing in an undeployed position. When the longitudinal housing is moved relative to the cutting wires, the cutting wires extend out of the longitudinal housing. The balloon of the balloon catheter is then moved under the deployed cutting wires and inflated to convert the standard balloon catheter into the cutting balloon catheter.

  • Publication number: 20050288703
Abstract: A compact blood clot filter having an alignment section that overlaps with a filter section in an axial direction is formed from a single tube without any welding points to provide high structural integrity, low profile and low manufacturing cost. The filter section has filter struts that extend radially and longitudinally from a hub. The alignment section has alignment struts in which the downstream end of each alignment strut forms a junction with the downstream end of an adjacent alignment strut while the upstream end of each alignment strut forms a junction with the upstream end of an adjacent alignment strut and with one of the filter struts to ensure symmetrical deployment of the filter struts and provide stable centering of the filter section.

  • Publication number: 20050288704
Abstract: A compact retrievable blood clot filter and a method of retrieving the filter. The retrievable filter has a primary hub, a set of filter struts having a conical configuration and extending from the primary hub, and a set of alignment struts connected to the filter struts to provide centering of the filter. A set of control struts connected to the alignment struts has a secondary hub which is axially movable relative to the primary hub. Movement of the secondary hub causes the control struts to pull the alignment struts radially inward into a retractable state for retrieval of the filter.

  • Publication number: 20050107739
Abstract: A catheter designed to be anchored in an internal cavity of a patient such as a drainage catheter employs a novel hub design. The hub has a slide member slidably coupled to the hub and a latch that latches the hub and the slide member together when the slide member slidably moves relative to the hub. Preferably, latching takes place when the slide member moves relative to the hub in an axial direction of the hub. A manually operable release member is provided on the hub such that the latch is disabled from unlatching unless the release member is manually operated. This feature advantageously limits a person's ability to accidentally unlatch the hub.

  • Publication number: 20050085744
Abstract: A system for developing a brain-computer interface (BCI), especially for use in rehabilitation, includes an audio-visual interface device for applying to a subject being examined stimuli eliciting event-related potentials and inducing brain reactions in said subject being examined. The system further includes an acquisition device for acquiring brain reaction signals (such as EEG traces) of the subject being examined synchronized with the stimuli and at least one processing device for processing the signals acquired via said acquisition device, The interface device, the acquisition device and the processing device comprise an integrated system. Preferably, the system uses a p300 signal as the event-related potential.
