Abstract: A buoyancy compensator for scuba divers having an integrated system for controlling the functions of inflation and discharge, which comprises a single control (20) stably connected to the inflatable vest (1) in a fixed position readily accessible by the scuba driver, and designed to perform the functions of inflation, by use of a push-button valve (21, 22), and of remote discharge, by use of a purely mechanical remote control consisting of a maneuvering lever (26) which acts on a sheathed flexible cable (11, 12) in such a way as to exert a tensile force on the obturator (9) of a discharge valve (5) located on the vest (1) in a hydrostatically advantageous position and, in any case, a position at a distance from the single control (20). The inflatable vest (1) may have a mixed one bag/two bags construction.

Abstract: Goggles for swimming or diving (1) comprising a frame (2) formed from a substantially flexible annular body made in a single piece with a surround (8) capable in use of being applied hermetically on the user's face, and a lens (3) shaped according to a cylindrical surface with variable radius of curvature. The surround (8) has an annular shape that is substantially a horizontal figure-of-eight, which describes a single continuous perimeter surrounding the user's eyes, and lens (3) is formed from a substantially flexible single sheet, the peripheral edge of which is embedded hermetically by simultaneous moulding in frame (2).

Abstract: Swimming or diving goggles comprising a one- or two-curved-lens system having a progressive cornerless curvature of cylindrical type with vertical axes and variable radius, without curvature in the vertical plane and described by a peculiar geometrical law, according to which the front portion located in front of the user's eyes has a curvature radius not less than 130 mm, and the two lateral portions have a lower curvature radius, anyway not less than 25 mm. The distance of the lens or lenses from the user's face is extremely reduced and such that two rays coming out from the eyes and lying on the horizontal plane intersect the lens or lenses at two point such that the perpendiculars to the inner surface of the lens or lenses at those two points form an angle not greater than 30.degree. therebetween.
