Abstract: Mattress comprising an external cover (1) in which a padding (2) including one or more air chambers (3), which can be inflated for supporting the body of at least one user and are connected by means of air inlets (4) to an electric compressor (12) for sucking air from the outside and pump it into one or more groups (A, B, C, D) of air chambers (3), is arranged, said inlets (4) being provided with electric valves (14) connected to a control unit (15) which is in turn connected to an automatic switch (18) arranged along an electric line between the compressor (12) and an electric power source (19), wherein the control unit (15) opens or closes the electric valves (14) and/or the automatic switch (18) according to the control signals coming from one or more pressure sensors (20) which measure the pressure in the air chambers (3).

Abstract: The spindle and the bearings for the spindle in a milling, boring or other machine are cooled by streams of air which is drawn from the surrounding atmosphere by one or more turbine wheels. The turbine wheel or wheels are rotated by the spindle or by a pulley which drives the spindle, and the air streams are caused to withdraw heat from one or more tubes which are adjacent and/or surround the bearings for the spindle. The feature that the turbine wheel or wheels are driven at a speed which is proportional to the RPM of the spindle ensures that the cooling action is also proportional to such speed.
