Abstract: A holder for prosthetic heart valves including an annular base and prosthetic valve leaflets extending between commissure regions oriented axially with respect to the base. The holder includes a grip element from which a plurality of arms extend for supporting the prosthetic heart valve in an intermediate position between the commissures. Protecting formations extend radially with respect to the grip element to protect the commissure regions. The grip element includes a first rotational element for coupling to a handle and at least one second coupling element for coupling the grip element of the holder to a support element thereby impeding its rotation.
