  • Patent number: 9947194
Abstract: Modulating the activation of an anti-theft self-alarming tag linked to an article is provided by a input/output interface In communication with the self-alarming tag for transmitting a deactivation signal to the self-alarming tag for deactivation thereof upon the request of a user. A processor is in communication the input/output interface for control thereof. The processor is in communication with a database comprising information on whether the article has been purchased or not for receiving purchase information therefrom. The processor Is configured to allow the input/output interface to transmit the deactivation signal to the self-alarming tag if the article linked therewith has been purchased and to prevent the input/output interface from transmitting the deactivation signal to the self-alarming tag if the article linked therewith has not been purchased.

  • Publication number: 20160005279
Abstract: A theft prevention assembly comprises a base and an alarm signaling device in order to signal an alarm when an attempt is made to remove the device from a package packaging an article or to remove the article from the package. The base is formed on the package which packages the article. The alarm-signaling device is mounted to the base. The device comprises a detector interfacing with the article for operative communication therewith. The detector provides for detecting an unauthorized distance between the device and the article. When the unauthorized distance is detected the device signals an alarm indicative of attempted theft. The device may also include sockets for receiving straps to be strapped to the package.

  • Publication number: 20140305828
Abstract: A theft prevention device is provided for being mounted to a package housing an item. The device comprises a controller, at least one microphone and an alarm device. The controller provides for identifying at least one predetermined sound signal indicative of unauthorized access into the package. The microphone is in communication with the controller for capturing ambient sound and providing a sound signal indicative of the ambient sound to the controller. The alarm device is in communication with the controller for being controlled thereby. The controller provides for comparing the sound signal indicative of the ambient sound with the sound signal indicative of unauthorized access into the package in order to identify a match and thus activating the alarm device to signal an alarm associated with the match.
